Would it not make more sense to use this as the 4 series and sell the other off for parts as this is already fully working
Exactly 👍🏼👍🏼
I agree
exactly
I thought it was just me ha ha
Seems the obvious thing. Is he asking Sean's or Nipper's advice at all?
Don't rob the red 4 series, it would be criminal especially with it being a classic model. Either do both up, use the red as ur daily. Look good behind the red king.
Personaly I think you should keep that truck and customiz it and keep it for your own
I agree
Yes very good idea
Yeah, would only take about 40 grand 😂
@@charlieanslow3743 pocket change
@@supertreme5559Is for him 😂
Don’t strip the red one keep it as it is and just tidy it up 👍
this truck seems in better shape then the other 4 series you have rn. i would keep this one and get it back in shape. then use it as a daily truck for work only
This red Scania is too good to pull apart Tim and thanks for your time and effort into Tuesday and Friday night videos.
It would be better to use the red cab and the blue chassis
Be easier to keep the red one and do it up and part out the blue one.
Red truck is too nice to pull apart.
I think you should have your licence taken off you because you are absolutely puddled and it's just a matter of time before you cause a accident or hurt someone and your wife is as bad for allowing you to get away with it
Hold on a minute, we get the chance to win half a truck with all the best bits taken off. Where do I sign up, that sounds like the best prize of all time.
😂😂
You should keep this one, do it up and sell the other 4 series for parts
Surely it will be easier to use this as your 4 series, and get this how you want it.
Great video Tim. I would keep the red 4 series and do it up And still do the blue 4 series as well but over a fees years when you can afford it as you have achieved so much, and learnt so much.
Might aswell just use that as your 4 series and sell other for parts
Ye
That would be the simple option
rig the blue 4 series fully up as you are doing and just tweak a few things on the red 4 series don't pull it apart! put some black smoke on the stacks then use it as your day to day truck. use the r series as a show truck
Personally I think you should keep that truck as it already looks nice and customize it and make it your own
keep it as it is, use it as a work truck its too good to be ripped apart like the other one you will love this one tim
Another brilliant video / content Tim, I enjoy watching your videos, you are literally living my dream life, I always had a love for trucks, but usually stick with cars & vans. I’ve done some general buying / restoration work on friends or my own vehicles ( small scale to what you do ) but I haven’t got the confidence or the financial back up to do what you do. Shame your so far from me, I’d love to come & see & meet all you guys. I have to say / agree with so many other subs etc. Just update / refresh the the red Scania & keep the other 4 series as the main full restoration project. As it does seem a shame to take all the parts off the red one that’s fully working & as you say has got more going for it & a better spec. The other 4 Series truck will be worth so much more resale wise with its full resto history & of course it has your mark on it as a title. Totally upto you what you do, but that to me makes more sense. Daniel.
Having been involved with a handful of major restorations It’s not uncommon to unearth something better as you embark on your journey and we always aimed to have 1 or 2 others in the yard to donate parts. I do echo what others have said and think at this point you would be far better off to walk away from the original and spend your time and money on the new purchase. It wouldn’t even be hard to use back end out of your 1st 4 series if you definitely want a “twin tag” arrangement. Enjoy the videos, cheers from down under in New Zealand
Wouldn’t you just keep this and use old one for parts
Good truck that tim and ive been reading the comments and there all saying you should keep it we all know you love it so go with your heart and that beauty would look good infront of the king 👍
Hi Tim, I join the others and advise you to keep the red one as the restoration project one and use the blue one for parts or chassis idk
Hi Tim. Great video. That is a genuine classic. My dad had one brand new in 2002. Remember the top line classic spec included the folding steps, leather seats, the full rear cab cabinet, wood dash and the long range tanks. I loved that unit. Is she a 580? It's definitely a V8! It's too good to use for parts in my view. A light bit of tlc and that would be a good working truck...
If he used his chassis and the cab and breaks off the other truck then he can have 2 good trucks
Awe Tim I knew you wouldn't want to take the new truck apart. 😂👍 👍 👀
Another great adventure as per usual, we always end up doing something obscure 🤣
Happy you got a fleets of trucks now tim and all fill in your new unit and Mrs truckers Tim did not go mad at you tim. Still waiting to see you come down the M1 motorway so I can get some pictures and videos
Hi tim, great video really enjoying seeing you buy lots of truck. i think with this 4 series you should transfer the parts and also keep this new one. because this one is really nice condition and then you could run two 4 series. would be great
Keep that 1 and use that old blue ones for parts for it tim Love the videos. Keep on trucking
Exactly the blue chassis would be the only thing 😂
Great vid Tim, you should keep that 4 series but change the chassis so it’s a twin tag and then sell or give away the cab of the blue one
I thought you should give the red 4 series all your love, it's in such good condition that it just can't be torn apart
You have done what I did with my ERF, Bought it with the intentions of pulling it apart and doing more bits but its too good to rip to bits.
Your viewers have spoken tim, MAD to strip that one down.
Well. I am currently on holiday at my aunts house and my aunt is babysitting her friends 8 month old while they go on holiday. The funny thing is. The baby started crying when Tim said “What’s that noise” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
keep the red one and use the good bits off old blue for spare parts save some money and time,ps leave front door open saves seconds on your escape when you tell Mrs trucker tim .great vlogs
Well done on the new purchase tim, u should keep that one , dont strip it, would be ashame to kill it. Hope Helen wasnt too angry about it 😂
This is a really interesting video Tim! That 4 series is really clean. i cant wait to see the blue 4 series at shows.
The old 4 series needs so many parts that the red one will end up being a barely running truck that won't be useful for anything. I personally think you should make the red one the main truck that you fix up since it's still not too late. Love the videos though 😃
Happy to see Tim getting a donor truck for the other 4-series 😁
Great video upload and what a fantastic new truck u have brought id keep it as well happy truckin 😊
Why not just use that one and scrap yours
No don’t scrap it someone would buy the parts
@@christopherhand1092engine gearbox axels maybe the cab pretty much everything else off that blue 4 series is scrap
@@gregshearer423 not really some people want 4 series parts
Love the vids timbo hope to see the 4 serie next year at a truckfest 🤙🤙
Great video as usual you should just use that scania 4 series as it’s fully working customise it to the highest standard and sell the the parts for the other one keep it up Tim
I kept yelling at the screen "Keep the red one and use the blue one for parts" while watching this video. I'm glad to see that I seem to be in agreement most of Tim's subscribers.
Great to see you have got another truck looks to good to swop parts over on it Looking forward to more content 😊
He isn’t going to swap the parts over he would be stupid to do that
Yep with a bit of Tlc that will be a nice truck
Aww little Leo is in for a suprise at Christmas then with the rc tcab ahah
Nice little up date mate cheers dude
Ex Shirley's tankers, great video Tim
Definitely keep the red 4 series and do it up. Its already in good condition with a bit work it would look amazing.
I’d love to win that if your going to do something similar to kuda but as always cracking content. Nice to see Ryan back in the channel. What about nipper and the hall agriculture lot not seen them for a while
You're gunna have a whole fleet here soon Tim!
keep the red 4 series and use the blue one for parts
New parts must be expensive if you're buying a working one and stripping it down to fix your broken one😂😂
I think to refurbish the red R series. It's going to be much quicker and has a lot of the features you want on the blue one. Unfortunately you need to weigh up the practical and costs sides of the project. We could be 2 years down the line and the blue one still being worked on. Or 2 years down the line and be showing the red one at shows.
Be easier to use the full cab if you panning to take that many parts off it.
Hi Tim great content as usual did you know you could swap your smoke alarm for a heat sensor we did this in the workshop where I work save you from running to turn off
Keep the working truck you just got.
I can understand this type of path and solution Tim went into.
In terms of cost on refurbing the blue 4 Series.
It is cheaper to buy an existing one, and cannibalize its parts for the blue 4 Series compared to actually buying each part you need brand new off Scania or even used one's can still be pricey.
But I also understand how its kind of not nice to cannibalize the Red Scania as it is a runner after all. And she looks pretty decent with her own character (that lion cub/cat sticker print at the back)
If anything, I would say yes Cannibalize it as financially it is the better option.
BUT
Make sure that what's left of the Red Scania, you need to build it up again into a decent running Lorry for someone to have.
But yea, at a glance, that red 4 series seems to be the better option to refurb, but then again you already started the Blue 4 series and advertised it ever since the start of the channel so its not that easy to just abandon that one for the red 4 series as you basically broke your promise if you did so.
Tim, as a 4 series build partner, I implore you: scrap the blue one and cut your losses. Keep the red one and customise it how you choose. It will be much better in the long run. Even as you listed all of the things it had that you wanted to move over, you can tell you're thinking about it.
Brilliant vlog bro Helen didn't look happy bro... Can't wait till it's done bro and u need a white board so we can see how much things cost keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm looking forward go what's next.... Do wish I could get that truck in the US!
Keep the classic in one piece and send it on to Darren for the full works.
Was a beast that truck used to run with them lads at Shirley’s tankers when the company I worked for had a fleet of 480 magnums and we could never keep up with them on the hills in Scotland
16:13 your r series has done alot of miles but at least you gave another cab to tow the lot home with the r series on the low loader instead lol.
I would keep the red one, it looks like a good one, I wouldn’t want to take parts off it, be better to do that one up
Another awesome video tim your new truck looks amazing and tidy if it was me i would do this truck up as it looks in a good condition
Keep up the great work tim
Keep the red one Tim that is too good to pull apart to fix the blue one
I would re-build from the old chassis and get it looking beautiful but use the red cab.
I reckon you should drop the v8 into the new 4 series and maybe even that the plate off the blue one and register it on the new one! It's seem a lots better of a platform to work off!!!!
i have a argument for and ageinst i think you should build your red one up and make it look good but i love seeing the restoreation off your blue one only problem is your blue one is a tag axle and the red one is a midlift
Best thing about a 4 series is the bed above the window
That red four series looks fantastic!
Tim just saying whys the donor vehicle parked infront of the work vehicle wouldn't it make sense to keep the donor 4 series behind the r series also would be created to see the volvo in the unit aswell as the scanias or infront of the unit if it doesnt fit in thr unit. Its nice to see another running 4 series video I've watched your video picking up your original 4 series a couple of times because I really like it.should do a trucker tim trucks and coffee event like caffeine and machine if you can get permission or your own meet up. You could also take the good parts off the donor 4 series then put aftermarket parts on the donor truck then start using the donor as a Fleet truck and hire another driver I guess and expand the company
build this one aswell but keep it simple . ive never personally seen the point in the blue one seems like endless money pit
Great work Tim, keep it up 👍
Exciting news Tim and food for thought. Is the new one ex Shirley's Transport from Cellarhead Stoke on Trent?
Keep the red one and put your own stamp on it, if it comes out like the r series it will be an awesome show truck, Keep the classic alive
Tim we all think u need to keep the red 4 series and do it up in stead of the blue one it all ready runs its all in one peace and it is the classic.
Tim u should scrap your blue four series and just paint and do bits to the truck it would be nice and it a classic and nicer ❤
Love it get it nice sound keep doing it trucker Tim 😊
Great stuff 👍 well needed parts
I agree with others here. What's the point in using the red 4 Series as a doner truck, I would refurbish the Red one, as it's at a good starting point, plus there is plenty of content to go in the red one. Sorry, but the blue one has met its maker in the great Scania Truck Stop in the sky xxx
got to agree keep the red one on the road and let the blue one go tim...
Would it be easier to rebuild that one it dose look better then the blue one and its a classic.
Lovely looking truck be a lucky person who get her.
Great video congratulations on your new purchase.
Stunning truck Tim loving the vids 😊
Keep this one on the road any bits u need do the other one at a later date makes sense 😉 tim you still can shot blast chassis I would definitely keep this rebuild the other not with genuine parts I was driving this new tim all scania from 142 till s series now mate
Does everyone agree Tim needs to make his truck a manual would be sick better than automatic ❤❤❤ TRUCKER TIM
Show prep the new 1 tim that 1 will look good for shows
Looks like the Shirley’s transport one that was for sale
use the red 4 series as a work mule or do medification like u did on the r series
persnally just keep the truck and work is aswell as the r series then do bits and bobs to it as you go along better in the long run
Keep the red truck as it is as it looks a great truck or just do a cab swop onto the other frame and save yourself a lot of work and money
Sorry gotta state the obvious! U need to keep the red one on the road and condeem the blue one! I know you have done alot of work to the chassis but it just don't make any sense to pull this perfect truck apart.... just get this one molded and resprayed in trucker tim colours!! ❤
I'd personally use the red truck fix what's needed on it and hire someone to drive it to produce you an income, and what you make out into the blue 4 series but other than that I love the content 👍
He don’t need a driver or the need to operate trucks. RUclips and all the other social media channels are his revenue. Look at what he’s bought since jumping ship from being employed as a HGV driver in a short space of time!
@@TheDelganey very true just chucking ideas out there
Definitely need to have your trailer back at shaun the dynamic duo. Funny
U should get a truck horn for the pickup
Hi tim , love the new 4 series, just a thought , why not fix up the new 4 series instead of stripping all the parts u need , why not put all the new parts onto the red 4 series as it would save , time , effort and a shed load cash . #savethered4series 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Keep and customize this one and keep the blue for spares.
Keep the new truck, bin the one in bits. It makes sense.
Big up trucker Tim congrats on a milly on tiktok 🎉
keep the red one and use the blue one for parts!!!
Really good video Tim 👍
I would keep that one and get it done up a lot cheaper and in better nic and more sence be ready by Christmas if you got it going
