There will always be new light, revelation to scriptures or bible texts each time you meditate. Paul in most of his epistles was exhortatiog and admonishing both old and new converts, would you say they were better than him. Edify one another in love. ✌
Years ago I studied Daniel and realized if God could map out the kingdoms of the world that He could take care of little me. He showed me great things about who He is.

The fact the the copy of the book of Isaiah that was found is Qumran scrolls have about a 95% correlation with our modern text and the remaining 5% is accounted for mainly by spelling variations that do not change the message. This is a miracle in and of itself. It brings to mind Our Lord Jesus' words. "Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will by no means pass away."
Why trust religious texts of any kids be as fact? Humanity lies. None of it just magically materialized out of thin air. Someone with potentially evil intent wrote it. So why trust it at all. And I can't run experiments to test it's validity. Prove religion isn't bullcrap. You can't use faith or any religious texts of any kind.
I am Jewish by birth and entire heritage. God saved me while in my late 30s and I am over joyed and thankful to know the true messiah Jesus! I have also studied; the rabbis won’t recognize that Daniel is very prophetic. They called it a writing like psalms etc. They don’t understand that God knows the future! So sad. 😢

i went to college in the later 1970s and attended a university that had a seminary attached.. I had a couple of courses with seminary students. When i defended the book of Daniel's authenticity. I was scoffed at and even more when I defended the authenticity of other books of the Bible. Since then much has been proved true since 1977.

@@glen1482 It is delusional to think those come from the Lord. They come from human sin and degradation and lust. The Lord wanted us to live in paradise and be with Him forever. WE are the ones (with help from Satan) that made this a sinful and fallen world. It was through our disobedience that pain and suffering and disease were brought into this world. One day, the Lord will bring those that worship Him willingly up to Paradise to be with Him forever. Sure, He could force people to worship Him but that is the power of His greatness is that He wants people that worship Him willingly, not forced. "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." - 1John 1:5. He loves us so much that He puts it in OUR hands and WE are the ones that have made the fallen world what it is today. You can't blame God for downfalls which have occurred from our own decisions. When the end comes and the faithful finally go to paradise to be with the Lord forever, He promises no more heat or cold, no more hunger or thirst, no more disease or pain. He wants it to be paradise but this time He wants to make sure that the people in it will listen and be obedient and not rebel as we had before.

I just turned on RUclips and there this video sits with this title on this Saturday. The Lord told me and my Spiritual sister to read the book of Daniel on Tuesday night. I have read Daniel countless times before. I just finished chapter 4 yesterday reading each chapter twice a day one chapter a day. With fresh eyes and ears to hear the Holy Spirit explain the Word of God is Amazing. The Rock alone cut out of the Mountain without human hands thrown at the kingdom's of the world and completely destroys them. The Holy Spirit blows in and blows out every piece of every fallen Kingdom not leaving a single trace they ever existed. That Rock That was thrown now becomes a Mountain that covers the entire earth. As Isaiah said in chapter 2 that in the last days the Mountain of God will be exalted as the highest of the high. The nation's will stream to Him. As Jesus said My Word will stand.
Sorry, I'd also like to add that Daniel isn't just prophecies, but prose about current living in Babylon. Names like Balshazzar, who only until recently had been believe to be Biblical fiction only to find out from the Nabonidus stele that his son Belshazzar was running Babylon while Nabonidus was in Mesopotamia. So it would take some one contemporary to know about the king's son ruling in his stead. And remember where Daniel was promised 3rd in all of Bablyon if he could read the writing on the wall? That's because Nabonidus was first to the crown, and so Balshazzar could only offer an officials third crown. This points to evidence that Daniel really was writing in the 6th century. PS Sorry for all the texts(and possible misspelling of names), but I find The Book Of Daniel, Zechariah, Jeremiah, Isaiah an the stories of Elijah and Elisha particularly interesting. I can't get enough, and pick up on new nuggets of truth everyday. They recently found clay receipts of Jahoachins's stay in Babylon. And now a curse tablet, at an alter on mount Ebal with Proto Hebrew dating back to Joshua's time. It's all very exciting, despite how critics try and twist these finds, while excepting secular findings as basic fact(and usually wrong). Thees events happened, from Jonah going to Nineveh, to Sennacherib's siege, to the Babylonian excite and how God came to Daniel and Ezekiel so dramatically, it scares me to this day. But a loving fear of the Lord is the path way to wisdom. These professors seem to not understand human nature from their ivory towers. I could write examples of this, but I think I've rambled enough. I like what you’ve shared here. It is so exciting how God is revealing so much in these last days. He raises up young people like this young man and even younger than him to shut the mouths of fools who teach that He is dead. Nimrod tried that and where is he and his tower and cities he built? God’s existence is not predicated on man’s faith or unbelief. He always was, is, and always will be. His Word is absolute truth, never changing. Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. I believe many will come out of atheism in this as God opens their eyes through the prayers of His people in these last days before He takes His church out of the world. I have seen it in my ministry (not in a pulpit but on my job) when the Lord healed my atheist supervisor’s children who were sick. He gave his life to the Lord. A week later, his wife gave her life to the Lord and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit the same day. We worked at famous nightclub as credit check operators. I was working there when I got saved and God kept me there for almost a year because He wanted him.
I am 64 years and is uplifting to see how well you have articulate the truth of the Bible. So young and so WISE... most definitely your inspiration comes from High Above, that wisdom comes from the Eternal Divine and only GOD, King of the known (and unknown to us) Universe. The book of Daniel is fiction and accepted by most scholars as such. This is on account of many false claims.... Nebuchadnezzar never became like an animal eating grass for 7 years. Daniel was never governor of Babylon. King Darius never existed. There was no war as was stated in Daniel. These claims only exist in the bible. There is no record, nor historical evidence for them.
@@reyhudson563 neither do the dead sea scrolls hold water...an untrained archaeologist 'discovered' the supposed scrolls, his team withheld information for decades surrounding the so-called discovery. Also the consensus of most scholars agree they are dated 160BC to 70CE, so the oldest date lines up with the writing of the book of Daniel.
@@QuestionThingsUseLogic I could tit for tat all night, but I got bigger fish to fry, but I will ask you one question: Have you actually READ Daniel, specifically chapters 9 and 11 and especially in conjunction with Jesus' specific instructions in Matthew 24:15 that those who are able to read should, in fact, understand what Daniel was talking about. We know when the Babylonian captivity of Israel took place, to the day. We know when the permission to return and repair the wall and buildings of the temple in Jerusalem was given to Nehemiah close to the same. We ALSO know about Jeremiah's 70 year prophecy of the captivity. To quibble about some archeologists doubts regarding some detail seems counter productive, but everyone can (and usually does) suit themself.

Can you direct me to one old scroll that has the name Yahusha? I've heard of the 28 Hebrews books of Matthew that has the names Yehoshua and Yeshua and Yeshua but this name you use seems to be a conspiracy pronunciation used from the name YAH found over 40 times in the old testament and 4 times in the new. Take the Name Matthew and turn it Hebrew....Matityahu see the Father's name is Yahu... Which is code for YHVH. But turn the table to Isaiah and Hebrew it's Yeshayahu. Again it's Yahu for the form you use. But YAH at the beginning would change the way Hebrew works all together. Yeh has to be in the beginning and YAH is the end using Hebrew pronunciation. Yehoshua which means YeHoVaH.....shua. 2 witness would be Johnathan which in Hebrew is Yehonatan = YHVH has given. So if you are wise enough to see when the Father's name is FIRST it's YEH and when the Father's name is LAST it's pronounced YAH......hence the name of the savior is YHVH saves YEhoshua!

I have no doubts about the Bible, I've believed it as long as I can remember- since a young child. But it did take me a long time to understand it. All I hear in these videos is "God is so amazing" "God is so amazing " "God IS sooo AMAZING!" - someday that will be all we hear! I can't wait
What is difficult to understand is how an amazing God, would put innocent souls into the evil earth without any prior fault of theirs as you believe that this is your first and last life. So, as per you God is the creator of evil.

@@nancyhale5054 Sister Nancy, what I was telling was - as you believe this is your first life and last life, the question arises, that why a Kind God send you to this evil earth without your prior sin or fault? For example, God condemned Adam and Eve as they ate forbidden fruit disobeying Him. And they were in presence of God and were judged by God and punished. Now, what is the forbidden fruit you ate and when? You necessarily, were in presence of God and necessarily disobeyed Him as much as Adam and Eve. Otherwise how a just God will be partial to you! So, this proves without doubt that you and I were originally, in front of God and we necessarily have done some disobedience to Him. So, this is called reincarnation after you fell from Kingdom of God, you have undergone many lives. This is not your first life on earthly planets. So, the entire idea of eternal hell does not exist. You can only get out of this cycle, of birth and death, if you reconnect with God following a process of Yoga as delineated in "Bhagavad Gita As It Is". Please order that book from Amazon and learn the reality of existence. Bible is wrong with respect to only one life concept, eternal hell concept, return of Jesus Concept. why would Jesus return to this miserable world again? To become KIng? Why He could not become a King when He was here? Why He could not push away Romans and free Israel as predicted? Why He promised His disciples that He will return in their generation and did not? @@thegodlogic3844 I only read the first bit, and want to answer - Adam carried the seed of all mankind, so when he sinned all humans paid the price, as we were all in him at the time. His seed was corrupted when he sinned. I can also see the last bit as I type. We are still in that "generation" the generation that can get complete forgiveness from just believing God loves us and if you don't believe it then the Bible nor anything else will ever make sense to you. God gets to define love, not us - us defining love doesn't work because we are not God - which is what Satan told Eve- she will be like god- since God didn't create us to do His job, we aren't able too. Love ISN'T Love contrary to the popular saying, we aren't able to define it, just like we weren't created to judge, that is also God's job. When you try to be "god " on your own, you sin. You do something you weren't created to do. Can't you see that what Jesus gave us was so much more valuable then some temporary victory?
You know what else is mind blowing? The book of Job is as old as the book of Genesis. Written around the same time but placed among the psalms and proverbs because of it's book of wisdom literary style.

It doesn't matter how many or what kind of tests you put the Word of God through. The Word will only prove itself to be complete and accurate. The Word is truth and fact, and Truth shall set us free. Whenever the Bible fails, believers just wave it away. I can go through a hundred inconsistencies in Genesis alone, caused largely because it is a combination of different older stories. But believers just wave it away and maintain there are no inconsistencies. Even before examining the Bible believers will say there are no inconsistencies. It's not about the real Bible, but an imagined one.

I love this.I too find the book of Daniel so mesmerizing.For refusing to worship the Image,Shadrak,meshak and Abednego were thrown into the furnace,so why was Daniel not among them? Did he bow to the image? Somewhere still in the Book of Daniel,Daniel refused a golden Chain as a gift for his dream interpretation,during the rein of Nebuchadnezzar son.Why did Daniel accept the gift later?
How can you follow this? The book predicted a rise of those cites, some of which are no longer here today. Isn't it fair to assume, not imply, that a civilization of any impressive stature may someday occupy a place of the Earth? Given these was in a time where many people already lived in those areas of the world? Also, only some interpreters interpret some of the aforementioned cities to have biblical references, while some argue alongside the man in this video. How can there be different interpretations and yet a common consensus of the bible? How do you know that you are right if "god" tells you one thing and tells someone of equal belief in the bible another thing?
I love the book of Daniel! I did a Beth Moore study on it several years ago, and am reading through it again. it’s so interesting and informative, and learning about Babylon really helps with making sense of the world today. It’s so comforting knowing God is in control and has the future in His hands. Be on His side!

Also, “the Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder” (verse 9). How'd I even guess you'd be referring to "Daniel" as soon as you started mentioning the most hated book of the Old Testament? Lol. Daniel was almost certainly written in the 2nd century BC, and the findings at Qumran don’t change that. Please, anyone watching this video, look into the consensus scholarship on this and the arguments they put forward. I recommend John Collins to start. People have dated Daniel to the 2nd century BC since Porphyry.
The book of Daniel is one of my favorites in the Bible. I can't explain why, and I won't try to do my feelings justice with fumbling typed words; I'm just drawn to that book. Perhaps its his faith in God, or God's faith in him... I don't know, but it grabs me often.
One of the many interesting things to me about the Book of Daniel is, how it shows how unimaginably powerful the ancient kingdoms were. We think of our wealthy elites today, and actually, they are feet of clay at best...whereas, the "head of gold" makes all of today's billionaires look like panhandlers. It would be fascinating to know for example, what Nebuchadnezzar's wealth would have equaled in today's dollars.

The Hebrew Bible includes Daniel in the Ketuvim (writings), while Christian biblical canons group the work with the Major Prophets.[4] It divides into two parts: a set of six court tales in chapters 1-6, written mostly in Aramaic, and four apocalyptic visions in chapters 7-12, written mostly in Hebrew;[5] the deuterocanonical books contain three additional sections, the Prayer of Azariah and Song of the Three Holy Children, Susanna, and Bel and the Dragon.[6] Why would be partly in Aramaic and then just few chapters in Hebrew? The holy bible as we know it was written in Hebrew OT and Greek NT, no where in there are any writings of Aramaic. Why Aramaic? During the Babylonian exile, the Jewish people adopted the Aramaic language & it became the language of the common people after the return up through the time of Yeshua. The familiar square Hebrew script was adopted as well. Throughout the centuries God has used empires to further His plan including the spread of language, each of which became the lingua franca during a given era & then used to spread His word. In history, we see Aramaic, then Greek, Latin, & now English all spread throughout the world in their time. The Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) was translated in the 3rd century before Christ since so many Jews in the Greek speaking world understood Greek better than Hebrew. The Dead Sea Scrolls which are referenced in the video gave scholars insight into earlier forms & also demonstrated the consistency of the transmission of the writings.

Daniel will be the text for our upcoming conference of expository preaching in October. As a long time student of this book, even though I know this facts for a long time, I still find myself amazed by God's Sovereignty.

The fact the the copy of the book of Isaiah that was found is Qumran scrolls have about a 95% correlation with our modern text and the remaining 5% is accounted for mainly by spelling variations that do not change the message. This is a miracle in and of itself. It brings to mind Our Lord Jesus' words. "Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will by no means pass away."
Why trust religious texts of any kids be as fact? Humanity lies. None of it just magically materialized out of thin air. Someone with potentially evil intent wrote it. So why trust it at all. And I can't run experiments to test it's validity.

i went to college in the later 1970s and attended a university that had a seminary attached.. I had a couple of courses with seminary students. When i defended the book of Daniel's authenticity. I was scoffed at and even more when I defended the authenticity of other books of the Bible. Since then much has been proved true since 1977.

WE are the ones (with help from Satan) that made this a sinful and fallen world. It was through our disobedience that pain and suffering and disease were brought into this world. One day, the Lord will bring those that worship Him willingly up to Paradise to be with Him forever. Sure, He could force people to worship Him but that is the power of His greatness is that He wants people that worship Him willingly, not forced. "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." - 1John 1:5. He loves us so much that He puts it in OUR hands and WE are the ones that have made the fallen world what it is today. You can't blame God for downfalls which have occurred from our own decisions. When the end comes and the faithful finally go to paradise to be with the Lord forever, He promises no more heat or cold, no more hunger or thirst, no more disease or pain. He wants it to be paradise but this time He wants to make sure that the people in it will listen and be obedient and not rebel as we had before.

I just turned on RUclips and there this video sits with this title on this Saturday. The Lord told me and my Spiritual sister to read the book of Daniel on Tuesday night. I have read Daniel countless times before. I just finished chapter 4 yesterday reading each chapter twice a day one chapter a day. With fresh eyes and ears to hear the Holy Spirit explain the Word of God is Amazing. The Rock alone cut out of the Mountain without human hands thrown at the kingdom's of the world and completely destroys them. The Holy Spirit blows in and blows out every piece of every fallen Kingdom not leaving a single trace they ever existed. That Rock That was thrown now becomes a Mountain that covers the entire earth. As Isaiah said in chapter 2 that in the last days the Mountain of God will be exalted as the highest of the high. The nation's will stream to Him. As Jesus said My Word will stand.

Sorry, I'd also like to add that Daniel isn't just prophecies, but prose about current living in Babylon. Names like Balshazzar, who only until recently had been believe to be Biblical fiction only to find out from the Nabonidus stele that his son Belshazzar was running Babylon while Nabonidus was in Mesopotamia. So it would take some one contemporary to know about the king's son ruling in his stead. And remember where Daniel was promised 3rd in all of Bablyon if he could read the writing on the wall? PS Sorry for all the texts(and possible misspelling of names), but I find The Book Of Daniel, Zechariah, Jeremiah, Isaiah an the stories of Elijah and Elisha particularly interesting. I can't get enough, and pick up on new nuggets of truth everyday. They recently found clay receipts of Jahoachins's stay in Babylon. And now a curse tablet, at an alter on mount Ebal with Proto Hebrew dating back to Joshua's time. It's all very exciting, despite how critics try and twist these finds, while excepting secular findings as basic fact(and usually wrong). Thees events happened, from Jonah going to Nineveh, to Sennacherib's siege, to the Babylonian excite and how God came to Daniel and Ezekiel so dramatically, it scares me to this day. But a loving fear of the Lord is the path way to wisdom. These professors seem to not understand human nature from their ivory towers. I could write examples of this, but I think I've rambled enough. I like what you’ve shared here. It is so exciting how God is revealing so much in these last days. He raises up young people like this young man and even younger than him to shut the mouths of fools who teach that He is dead. Nimrod tried that and where is he and his tower and cities he built? God’s existence is not predicated on man’s faith or unbelief. He always was, is, and always will be. His Word is absolute truth, never changing. Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. I believe many will come out of atheism in this as God opens their eyes through the prayers of His people in these last days before He takes His church out of the world. I have seen it in my ministry (not in a pulpit but on my job) when the Lord healed my atheist supervisor’s children who were sick. He gave his life to the Lord. A week later, his wife gave her life to the Lord and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit the same day. We worked at famous nightclub as credit check operators. I was working there when I got saved and God kept me there for almost a year because He wanted him.
I am 64 years and is uplifting to see how well you have articulate the truth of the Bible. The book of Daniel is fiction and accepted by most scholars as such. This is on account of many false claims.... Nebuchadnezzar never became like an animal eating grass for 7 years. Daniel was never governor of Babylon. King Darius never existed. There was no war as was stated in Daniel. These claims only exist in the bible. There is no record, nor historical evidence for them.
Also, Daniel has been dated to the Maccabean period, so 400 years after the facts.

Have you actually READ Daniel, specifically chapters 9 and 11 and especially in conjunction with Jesus' specific instructions in Matthew 24:15 that those who are able to read should, in fact, understand what Daniel was talking about.
We know when the Babylonian captivity of Israel took place, to the day.
We know when the permission to return and repair the wall and buildings of the temple in Jerusalem was given to Nehemiah close to the same.
We ALSO know about Jeremiah's 70 year prophecy of the captivity. To quibble about some archeologists doubts regarding some detail seems counter productive, but everyone can (and usually does) suit themself.
God makes it possible for any Christian to become a Bible “scholar”. Just because someone has Dr. in front of their name doesn’t mean they know God’s Word. Our Professor is the Holy Spirit. Great video!

Can you direct me to one old scroll that has the name Yahusha? I've heard of the 28 Hebrews books of Matthew that has the names Yehoshua and Yeshua and Yeshua but this name you use seems to be a conspiracy pronunciation used from the name YAH found over 40 times in the old testament and 4 times in the new. Take the Name Matthew and turn it Hebrew....Matityahu see the Father's name is Yahu... Which is code for YHVH. But turn the table to Isaiah and Hebrew it's Yeshayahu. Again it's Yahu for the form you use. But YAH at the beginning would change the way Hebrew works all together. Yeh has to be in the beginning and YAH is the end using Hebrew pronunciation. Yehoshua which means YeHoVaH.....shua. 2 witness would be Johnathan which in Hebrew is Yehonatan = YHVH has given. I have no doubts about the Bible, I've believed it as long as I can remember- since a young child. But it did take me a long time to understand it. All I hear in these videos is "God is so amazing" "God is so amazing " "God IS sooo AMAZING!" - someday that will be all we hear! I can't wait
What is difficult to understand is how an amazing God, would put innocent souls into the evil earth without any prior fault of theirs as you believe that this is your first and last life. So, as per you God is the creator of evil.

Now, what is the forbidden fruit you ate and when? You necessarily, were in presence of God and necessarily disobeyed Him as much as Adam and Eve. Otherwise how a just God will be partial to you! So, this proves without doubt that you and I were originally, in front of God and we necessarily have done some disobedience to Him. So, this is called reincarnation after you fell from Kingdom of God, you have undergone many lives. This is not your first life on earthly planets. So, the entire idea of eternal hell does not exist. You can only get out of this cycle, of birth and death, if you reconnect with God following a process of Yoga as delineated in "Bhagavad Gita As It Is". Please order that book from Amazon and learn the reality of existence. Bible is wrong with respect to only one life concept, eternal hell concept, return of Jesus Concept. why would Jesus return to this miserable world again? To become KIng? Why He could not become a King when He was here? Why He could not push away Romans and free Israel as predicted? Why He promised His disciples that He will return in their generation and did not? Now Israel is an independent nation with Benjamin Netanyahu, What Jesus will do here? His job is already done. You are not asking right questions to your pastor? I can also see the last bit as I type. We are still in that "generation" the generation that can get complete forgiveness from just believing God loves us and if you don't believe it then the Bible nor anything else will ever make sense to you. God gets to define love, not us - us defining love doesn't work because we are not God - which is what Satan told Eve- she will be like god- since God didn't create us to do His job, we aren't able too. Love ISN'T Love contrary to the popular saying, we aren't able to define it, just like we weren't created to judge, that is also God's job. When you try to be "god " on your own, you sin. You do something you weren't created to do. Can't you see that what Jesus gave us was so much more valuable then some temporary victory?

Whenever the Bible fails, believers just wave it away. I can go through a hundred inconsistencies in Genesis alone, caused largely because it is a combination of different older stories. But believers just wave it away and maintain there are no inconsistencies. Even before examining the Bible believers will say there are no inconsistencies. It's not about the real Bible, but an imagined one.

We can even directly trace back to the earlier Canaanite Religion that predates the creation of Old Testament and study how Abrahamic theology morphed over a period of development with conflicting cosmologies with different authors over time (even the shifting from Elohim which is an earlier Canaanite Pantheon to eventually changing into an exclusive focus on Yahweh when the Elohim Cult fades over time and the Yahweh Cult gains prominence). So many other Near Eastern Religions had their stories taken and rehashed to create many of the myths that make up Old Testament. Comparative Religious Studies of the Ancient Near East (along with History and Archeology) reveals exactly how much of The Bible is re-hashed myth.......and it's a LOT.

How can you follow this? The book predicted a rise of those cites, some of which are no longer here today. Isn't it fair to assume, not imply, that a civilization of any impressive stature may someday occupy a place of the Earth? Given these was in a time where many people already lived in those areas of the world? Also, only some interpreters interpret some of the aforementioned cities to have biblical references, while some argue alongside the man in this video. How can there be different interpretations and yet a common consensus of the bible? How do you know that you are right if "god" tells you one thing and tells someone of equal belief in the bible another thing?

I did a Beth Moore study on it several years ago, and am reading through it again. it’s so interesting and informative, and learning about Babylon really helps with making sense of the world today. It’s so comforting knowing God is in control and has the future in His hands. Be on His side!

God told Moses, “Take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites” (Numbers 31:1). The Israelites obediently armed themselves and attacked the Midianites, killing the men (verse 7). Also, “the Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder” (verse 9). When the troops returned to Moses, he was angry that they had not fully carried out the Lord’s vengeance (verse 14; cf. verse 3). The Midianite women were those who had caused Israel to sin at Baal Peor (see Numbers 25). So Moses commanded that the women be killed, and also “kill all the boys” (Numbers 31:17).

How'd I even guess you'd be referring to "Daniel" as soon as you started mentioning the most hated book of the Old Testament? Lol. Daniel was almost certainly written in the 2nd century BC, and the findings at Qumran don’t change that. Please, anyone watching this video, look into the consensus scholarship on this and the arguments they put forward. I recommend John Collins to start. People have dated Daniel to the 2nd century BC since Porphyry.
The book of Daniel is one of my favorites in the Bible. I can't explain why, and I won't try to do my feelings justice with fumbling typed words; I'm just drawn to that book. Perhaps its his faith in God, or God's faith in him... I don't know, but it grabs me often.

One of the many interesting things to me about the Book of Daniel is, how it shows how unimaginably powerful the ancient kingdoms were. We think of our wealthy elites today, and actually, they are feet of clay at best...whereas, the "head of gold" makes all of today's billionaires look like panhandlers. It would be fascinating to know for example, what Nebuchadnezzar's wealth would have equaled in today's dollars.

Why would be partly in Aramaic and then just few chapters in Hebrew?
The holy bible as we know it was written in Hebrew OT and Greek NT, no where in there are any writings of Aramaic.

Unless you talking about the book Hebrews and not the actual holy bible which is in Hebrew and in Greek, but it's The Supremacy of Christ and Perseverance in Christ, specially in the face of persecution. Why Aramaic? During the Babylonian exile, the Jewish people adopted the Aramaic language & it became the language of the common people after the return up through the time of Yeshua. The familiar square Hebrew script was adopted as well. Throughout the centuries God has used empires to further His plan including the spread of language, each of which became the lingua franca during a given era & then used to spread His word. In history, we see Aramaic, then Greek, Latin, & now English all spread throughout the world in their time. The Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) was translated in the 3rd century before Christ since so many Jews in the Greek speaking world understood Greek better than Hebrew. The Dead Sea Scrolls which are referenced in the video gave scholars insight into earlier forms & also demonstrated the consistency of the transmission of the writings.

Daniel will be the text for our upcoming conference of expository preaching in October. As a long time student of this book, even though I know this facts for a long time, I still find myself amazed by God's Sovereignty.
