I'd advise stopping before getting 100k caps, though. Going over 100k of anything seems to screw up the exploit and reset it to a lower number.

Did it today it does work, you want to hold the scrap button bc the scrap doesn’t work until the button is let go, a millisecond after hold store then the glitched menu appears. Keep holding store and press accept on both and rinse and repeat.
@@Stevem5772 the caps go into the weapons workbench storage, so after doing the trick for however long you want you just gotta go into the weapons workbench storage and grab the caps

After you are done doing the glitch he forgot to say go to your work bench that's where you pick up the caps
I had a look in workshop and there were 131,250 bottle caps and when I transferred them over they all disappeared, any suggestions please mate.. Thx

Somethings happening where the caps only add toy workshop, but when i leave it shows it didnt add have u seen that?
Go to your settlement workshop and look for "Bottlecaps." There should be a stack there

Got up to 200k caps when i tried to transfer from work bench it only gave me 4,990 caps-_-
