In case you're still wondering... The reason we do that weird thing with the mouth when we're putting on mascara, is because the nerves that control the eyes and the mouth are pretty close together, and we can accidentally activate the wrong nerve in the process of keeping our eyes still. At least that is the theory :-)
A quick tip to cleaning beauty blenders put a cup of water with a drop of washing liquid in the microwave for 1 min then squeeze the excess water out and run under hot water while squeezing then put in a tumble dryer for 1 minor till dry and it should be clean (this is what works for me)
