Guitarist Narumi used to be Miho's (ex-Lovebites) bandmate in Destrose along with Haruna (lovebites). After Destrose she formed the Disqualia with Hazuki (Nemophila). She's also done time with Aldious, Lisa-X and Rami (ex-Aldious), all while doing her solo thing too!
Narumi is J-Metal royalty at this point and Yuuki is a shockingly good bassist for a voice actress! She’s funny too. 😊 I came for Narumi, stayed for their excellent EP and bought their upcoming album based on that EP. Since the teaser came out, I know I’ve been making good decisions recently. 😜 Check out “Welcome to Secret Heavenly Base” - let’s call it infectious party metal. 😊
For sure! I didnt realize the guitarist was Narumi from disaqualia and Destrose. She was fantastic in those bands! I will for sure check out everything they have posted, they just seem like a solid band with TONS of potential. I love everything about this song!
Great band, I always recommend them because they are underrated, like Hagane, Fate Gear, The Devil’s Killing Merry Go Round, Trident. A lot of incredible music from Japan, big names like Lovebites, Nemophila, Bridear, Gacharic Spin and I always have to mention Hanabie.
Yeah I really enjoy them. I like sharing some of the lesser known bands when I come across them. I probably feature more lesser known bands than bigger bands. Though, I do tend to share NEMOPHILA/TRiDENT whenever I get a chance. I also really like Hanabie I just have heard all of their music so I dont get a chance to feature them often. I was hyped when they created the MV for NEET GAME.
Yeah it really is a fantastic song. Composition-wise it is done very very well. It would be difficult to try and critique this song in anyway... everything was done pretty perfect.
The new album is great! Blind in the Chaos is my favorite right now but I'm sure it will change after a few more listens. This song is great but there are songs on the album that are even better! You should buy right away! 🤘🤘🤘
I really cant wait to check out more, they sound awesome! I plan on purchasing it. Im working on a big order with one of the Japanese shopping services I use.
Upon first listen, Maiko's JPOP voice was jarring in contrast to the heavier rock based song. Makes me wonder what the group would sound like if the DIH vocalist was in the group. After listening to the song a few times and then the album, I no longer felt that way. I love her voice. The album is an absolutely nonstop playlist on Y/T. It is just remarkable how many extraordinary Japanese bands that are fighting for the attention of the rock audience worldwide. Good job getting that out there.
Sorry for late reply, never got a notification for this one. I tend to enjoy the poppy voices so I didnt have any issues with it. Now i will say that the vocalist from DIH has a fantastic "rock voice" and she would actually work very well with this band behind her. That being said, nothing needs to change with this band, haha. I havent heard the whole album yet but I have enjoyed all the songs that I have heard so far and im looking forward to more!
Oh yeah for sure! BAND-MAID is still the pinnacle of music, song composition, and individual skill in my opinion. That being said, its pretty impressive how talented Lonesome_Blue is and how amazing these songs already are so early into their band forming. Imagine how good they can be in 10 years!
They look great, they sound great & this song has been gaining a lot of traction recently. They'll be able to afford to buy the guitarist a proper guitar with a headstock now.😏
Narumi Suzuki (known professionally as “Narumi”) is one of Japan's elite guitarists. She was Destrose’ co-lead during that band’s most successful phase, along with Destrose bandleader Minako Nakamura (“Captain Mina”); other bandmates included Miho and Haruna, who went on to found Lovebites, and Marina Hebishii, who founded Mardelas. After leaving Destrose, Narumi co-founded Disqualia with Ibuki. Her co-lead in that band was a very young Hazuki, who is now one of the two lead guitarists in Nemophila. After Disqualia disbanded, Narumi focused on a solo career, which yielded a phenomenal solo EP, “The Seed”, featuring highly technical prog and fusion-style instrumentals. It is worthy of comparisons to some of the great fusion albums of the late 1970’s. Here is the lead track, “Red Rabbit”: ruclips.net/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/видео.html Narumi also filled in for Toki during Toki’s first maternity leave from Aldious, and was with them for their only North American live appearance to date, an exhibition at NAMM. Narumi has long had a devoted fan following who wanted to see her lead her own band. Their wishes were answered in early 2022, with the debut of her new prog-metal band called Lonesome Blue. Personnel: Drummer Mizuki (x Shinku-Horou), Vocalist Maiko Nomura (a voice actress singing under her own name for the first time) Bassist Yuuki Hirose Based on what they have put out so far, we can say this is yet another killer Japanese band, with Jedi-level musicians at every position. Lonesome_Blue's debut EP “First Utterance” contains five tracks co-composed by Light Bringer keyboardist Mao, with lyrics written by Lovebites frontwoman Asami (another instance of the close and symbiotic relationship among many of Japan’s female metal stars). holy cow! now that is some awesome rock there Shred!!! MAN when they hit 4:24, I was blow away. They are SO GOOD! 4:51 is a BEAUTIFUL transition. That Slide in her riff is sooo classy rock! She just takes you away with that guitar at that moment! I am playing it many times and still absolutely head bobbing every time, The sound is CLEAN, and AGAIN look, more refined look, smoother rhythm, and classier they seem to get. They remind me of Rolling Quartz, they all are having a good time, really good video presence! and They can Shred!!! yes!...top quality I think. beautiful moments, VERY structured with lots of surprises! actually pretty darn hot! They are a fairly fresh band. They two mini albums. First Utterance and Second to None. They have a mix of genres throughout their songs mostly rock based. I like them and this song. Another new band to watch and see where they go. Narumi, the guitarist, is the real veteran here, going back to her Destrose days.
I am really curious to check out their catalog since I like a lot of different genres so this will be an interesting discovery for sure. I just heard that she was the guitarist from Destros and Disqualia, I had no idea!

You might find them interesting, some of their stuff is a bit more pop-style. Narumi, the guitarist has a solo single out called, "Red Rabbit" that is pretty good too. Of course, I am a sucker for redheads, but I really like the guitarist, Narumi. The bassist was really flirting with me too, well okay, she was flirting with the camera, but I took it personally. You'll be pleased to know that she posted the entire album "the Seed" from which "Red Rabbit" is taken. The entire thing is amazing, sort of fusion metal, if there is such a thing.
I only have one source for this so it may not be 100% true but I was listening to an episode of trash taste, they had an anime voice actress on there. She talked about how if you want to get into voice over work now you need to be able to sing as well as act. I think there are going to be a lot of these bands with anime voice actors doing vocals. Though I imagine most of them will be doing pop stuff.
LOL and this is apparently only the second song by them on utube? other one..well it was a bit weird..BUT Face the Fear IS getting attention. It should!
