Would have ADORED this during the 90s. Lived for 12 years w only a wood burning pot-bellied stove for heat and cooking. I chopped SO MUCH WOOD! I had an old dull axe & a splitter and maul for when I got some Wood pre- logged. You just be careful. It CAN be literally back breaking work! Mind your back health AND muscle relaxation!!! I have 6 disc ruptures now and my back is just curving into scoliosis as time goes. Been in chronic intractable pain for almost 20 years now.
God bless America! Those are some expensive Axes from New Zealand! Anywhere from $300- $700 dollars. I don't know if that is in US dollars, but I have a feeling they are expensive because they are hand-forged!
@@Voicesofjake the more I have started an interest in to knives and axes and the type of steel that they are made out of and the processes. I have learned a lot and understand why some are so expensive.
High-Low Left.... High-Low Right.... High-Low Left....High-Low Right.... need to work on your cadence and pattern to properly clear chips.... but pretty axe and nice hair
@@shenanigansofmannananwell put, I never use glasses chopping wood, not once got hit in the eye been doing it for 20 years or so since I was a kid, just don’t be dumb about it
It never occurred to me that someone would have a favourite axe, but it makes sense. It's nice to see you being so thrilled with it, too
So pretty! Shinny and sharp !!!

@@TheTexasViking For sure! I think my ranking is Swedish steel is number 1 and Japanese is a close second.. Then maybe German??
@@Voicesofjake I do enjoy my knives made in swedish Sandvik 14C28N. I have a Civivi Bhaltair and a CRKT M-16 series made in Sandvik.
I'm going axe throwing tomorrow, I just remembered!
That. Is. A. Beauty. 😍
for $500+ it would be my favourite too, imagine laying out that kind of money and it sucking
They can make axe heads for soft or hardwoods…just specify which.
Yup! This is the Work Axe. So it can do anything
That’s what I use and now testing the trapper.

Well said from behind a key board. Loser.
in my country there is not that axe
Do you not need glasses for this?
Nope. You may want them.... but if centuries of Loggers didn't need or use em before they were invented... they are not definable "necessary"
