    In confused as to why the chord notes for the 2(Am 7) are ACEG..THAT'S 1,3,5,7..why isn't it ABEG with B being the 2..all the others are now 1,3,5,7....anybody?

    I don't understand why the 1 is a Gmaj7. If you're playing F# instead of F. Shouldn't it just be a GMaj?

      G Maj 7 is G, B, D, F# - where as G7 (or G dominant 7) would be G, B, D, F (with a flattened 7th) GMaj would just be the 1,3,5 which is G, B, D
