Pile 1: When trauma bond came out I was like bingoooooo!!! Dated a narcissist for two years on and off that left me with a trauma bond. He was/is an alcoholic who drinks and drives. I lost my Mom at 7 to a drunk driver so it was too much for me. When I confronted him about it he said I don’t change for you or anyone else. I had put my heart and soul into trying to make him love me back when all I was getting were bread crumbs. He then reached out several times once I was in a healthy relationship begging me to come back and how I was the “one”. I moved on but this was just confirmation that he never has. Trauma bonds are no fun and they follow you for a length of time especially compounded with trauma from childhood. He tried to wreck me but I survived him. I hope he is able to cut the cord someday.
