I was born in this city. Left to USA -age 5. Because of this video, I will be visiting it in a few months. Thank you for your effort in finding hidden gems.
omg is this the first video with your voice?! finally lol Was wondering how long it would be. Going through your videos from the very beginning! It's better than Netflix lol
Am surely going to book this place 2023 July since it’s my birthday month. You made me love Vietnam 🇻🇳 lol 😂 that I have a lot of places that I will like to visit after watching your clips. Keep up the great work I love love it.
I was stationed in Cam Ranh about 50 yrs ago and use to swim at different beaches. I can't believe the development. If I may ask, who did the development and where were they from. Thank you.
The development of… the entire city? Surely countless firms. The 7 mile stretch of coast from the airport northwards is near fully developed or under development. Thanks for watching 🩴
I recently found your channel and I am in love, Kevin! Such detailed and beautifully crafted scripts as well as high quality cinematography. Thanks for this video and all the others I binge watched the last few days... Do you happen to remember how much you paid per night for this resort?
I paid $218 per night for a Deluxe Hideaway Pool Villa (and was upgraded to the ocean front). Keep in mind this was during Covid at a time when Vietnam was only open to residents, so prices were much lower. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Which was your favorite resort in Cam Ranh and why? Fusion, Anam, or Raddison Blue. I'm trying to decide on a place now and watching your great videos!
Of the resorts in Cam Ranh proper I’d have to go with Fusion (only if it’s an oceanfront or ocean view room… otherwise it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere). But if I’m honest I’d rather goto Mia Nha Trang (15 mins north of the Cam Ranh Hotel Zone) or my top pic for the area, L’alya Ninh Van Bay, just to the north of Nha Trang. There are videos for both on my channel, take a look and I’m sure you’ll see why I’d choose them ☺️. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
thanks for your video. would you let me know which room number or area of Deluxe Garden Pool Villa on the video? seems like view quite differs from each room, and this one looks decent!
Great video, as are all your reviews. They are much better once you started narrating, and I'd recommend you go back and add narration to your earlier vids which are currently without. On the topic of Cam Ranh, I wondered what your view was on the area. When looking at Google Maps, its becomes clear that the area is just one after another giant international chain resorts rising from a desolate sand bank, and you can go from airport to resort and back again, without really feeling like you actually went to Vietnam. A bit like going to Cancun. What's your views on the area/development?
I’m all for it. I don’t think every holiday needs to be an authentic local experience- whether or not that happens is up to the traveler (plus, there’s a massive domestic market that fills those rooms as well…). When looking at Nha Trang and Cam Ranh together as a single unit I’m very much in favor of the current development trend as it means that the city beaches will not be commercially developed. On the contrary, the government has reclaimed the land from the only previous beach resort in the city center to return the space for public use. Plus, it’s a development style that has proven successful before- looking at Đà Nẵng and it’s urban beaches with resort after resort occupying the land between Đà Nẵng and Hoi An.
Beautiful resort, had no idea about them. I've lived in Singapore for 5yrs and even back then no durian was a common sight on MRT and Hotels. What you thought was a gimmick back in December 2020 is the "new normal" for QR code menus. Glad the food was awesome. Love a buffet breakfast (chickpea baked beans is interesting) Thanks so much for sharing obviously lm just catching up on this fantastic channel👍
Beautiful! My Wife and I are considering Nha Trang for retirement ( approx 6 months/year. She is originally from Hue. Are they also developing residential condos in Cam Ranh? I sure hope things open for tourism soon. Take care and thanks for video. I will subscribe 🙂
Sounds like a great plan! Yes there are many many developments in the area with some residential projects included. Just keep in mind Cam Ranh can be quite a ways away if you’re looking for convenient access to western standard shops and services. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Oh I’d say the PQ location is much nicer in just about every way. I still like this one in Cam Ranh, but the single thing that I think CR does better than PQ is the spa menu. PQ’s always had limited massage choices while CR had loads on offer. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft I'm really spoil with the Marriott standard...not saying that they have to get everything right but the bed is the most essential piece of furniture and shouldnt go cheap on...other things they went cheap on is the television...mine look honestly like a 32" computer monitor

Looking at perhaps staying here next year. But how did you get to Vietnam? I thought it was closed to tourists now.
Yes it is closed for tourists- probably for the rest of the year, at least- but I’ve lived here for around 7 years.
thanks for your video. would you let me know which room number or area of Deluxe Garden Pool Villa on the video? seems like view quite differs from each room, and this one looks decent!
Don't remember off the top of my head, but it's surely in the video as I'm walking to the room. Thanks for watching & Happy New Year 🎉

The spa treatments are free and unlimited?
It depends on the package. I’ve been to Fusion resorts when it was one per person per day and sometimes also 2 per person per day.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching 🩴
I was there during the war… I thought then one day it would be a resort…
The potential has always been there!

this place is decent but IMHO, the Fusion resort in Phu Quoc is a tad better

I’d send my wife into the bathtub first 🤞
😂 Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
man I went here, regret paying for the price...500+ a night for a shit bed...literally cannot sleep for 3 night...waste of money
That’s a shame. I didn’t have any issues when I was there.
