Fun fact: All princesses Never had Wings (If they were a unicorn) they had to earn them, Which is Why if you see some photos of their younger selves they dont have Wings, Because they had to Earn it by their Parents to prove they were ready to take over the Kingdom and Stuff So the designs are great but it wouldnt make sense for them to have wings at this age (From what i can see) And in the Show Twilight earns her wings aswell, Making her Become a Alicorn (Also Celestia and Luna used to be unicorns before earning their wings just to clarify this)

This is the time they discovered they could control the sun and moon, which is kinda the reason they became alicorns
