Noticed the crowd first, right? As a seasoned veteran of live concerts going back to 1978, I promise you that the live Band Maid shows are some of the most fun, entertaining and interactive experiences in music. The Maids never repeat a setlist, so each performance is new. They often stop playing to interact with the fans, have comedic back and forths with each other, and just make everyone happy they came to see them. The opening MC moment, MISA’s “opening ceremony” with beer, Saiki & Kanami’s Japanese word lesson, Akane’s bananas, Omajinai Time (magic spell time), and virtually every single song is a singalong/chant/cheer/jumping exercise. Not to mention the frequent practical jokes and shenanigans they play on each other. One of those you see here: “Hengao,” or “pulling faces” where the members gather around Akane just as she begins the most challenging drum section of the song. Look carefully and you’ll see the funny overbite face MISA chose to try and throw Akane off beat.
Do you want to know why the crowd are so into it from the start? Then checkout the song "Play" from the same concert. The tone you hear in the very beginning of this video is the very last note of "Play".
Yepp, absolutely Nemophila and then also Lovebites and then you have the Japanese female metal/rock quartet with BAND-MAID and Hanabie. And both bands are totally fantastic live.
Now you need to react to the "White Room" instrumental version of "Domination" from the "Instrumental Maid" RUclips channel. Why, you ask. In the instrumental video there are pauses in the music in the middle of the song. If you overlay the vocals over the music, you find that they allow for the call and respond lyrics of the lead and the audience. How many music composers pause that let the vocalist and the audience provide the notes of the song? Kanami Tono, their lead guitarist and composer, is a genius.
she does double kick with 1 foot. There is a version of Sense Instrumental thats just the camera on her and her feet. She uses the double pedal too but also she can sure do a lot with just 1 foot. ruclips.net/video/JVDAWcVWiBI/видео.html
Yes, I was fairly surprised when I first noticed Akane playing a double kick sound with one foot. Her technique seems to involve playing the first kick up high on the pedal away from the hinge, followed by the second kick down low on the pedal near the hinge. I had to rethink drum playing entirely after seeing that.
You need more than physical presence to control a crowd- Saiki- 5'4" tall, just has it and they love her for it. When you see them on stage live they are all small- Tallest is Misa at 5'7".
THE best Hard Rock band on Earth. Try one of their more recent live performances - like HATE?, live at Yokohama Arena, on their YT channel - to see how ridiculously good they are now.
Since you’re going down the rabbit hole of Japanese bands, there is a brand new one called Nek! (Pronounced Neck-ee, that ! Is an upside down “i”). They have a bit of a Band Maid sound and have covered some of their music. Listen to “Maze” if you want to check them out. The Bassist will impress, I guarantee it.
The Japanese female metal band scene is absolutely awesome. In addition to Band Maid, you have kick ass bands like Lovebites, Mary’s Blood, Bridear and Nemophila would be good choices for reaction videos.
I never tire of watching this video. Can't wait to see Kanami playing her new PRS: COLLECTION # 088 Private Stock Custom Made for KANAMI (BAND-MAID) Custom 24-08 | PRS Guitars Japan ruclips.net/video/LFJtoAiiLK0/видео.html I suggest a song which seldom is requested but is widely loved: BAND-MAID / One and Only (Live in Tokyo 2018) ruclips.net/video/YtW-ejVWfOs/видео.html
Seriously. LIVE. Every Japanese band every time. Band Maid, Doll$boxx, One Ok Rock, Wagakki and Hanabie all best live, for sure. The only one of those where it's hard to find a good live cut is Hanabie, but their Taiwan concert was excellent. Check it out. Hanabie in Taiwan: ruclips.net/video/NORZHwHFLD0/видео.html My favorite Band Maid song is Daydreaming, which is the only Band Maid song that I like in regular video format, though the live one is just as good and has a great intro: ruclips.net/video/g6S05uwq8-M/видео.html
Hello, if I may I would like to recommend a Japanese band, from Shiga, called DEXCORE and the video ‘ HEARTHWORM ’ official video, this is a VK band, which means Visual Kei, and they specialise in progressive metalcore and gothic, among the dozens of tracks they have done I would recommend this one because there is Makito from the band Victim of Deception and he faces off with Kagami in an epic battle of vocals and aggression, I am convinced you will be amazed.
There are a few BAND-MAID songs where the Music Video is the best version, 'Shambles', 'Rinne', 'Blooming' and 'Unleash'. Other than those LIVE is usually best, also, 'Warning' and 'Show Them' with The Warning.

Right after Kanami's great third solo Saiki sings, "Our pulses race together." Indeed! Band-Maid. Domination. Nuff said! Thx, GP42!
"Freedom" for Akane drum solo
One of the cool things about this song is it's the 22nd of a 23 song show! Still this much energy and enthusiasm! Band-Maid knows how to bring it!

I've seen this band four times live, and the crowd is into it from start to finish, just sayin!
Glad you are enjoying the Maids. Still many more songs to react to, so keep on rocking with the Maids! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Nice Reaction, I see somebody loves their BRCC, good stuff that.
The amount of talent is mind boggling!!
Thank you for reacting to the live version. And yes, when Saiki is on stage performing, there is no doubt, she is Master of the Universe.
Lovebites is to Metal what Band Maid is to Rock. Their first US tour starts next week! ruclips.net/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/видео.html
Nemophila !! Another banger band ! Again live!!
Yepp, absolutely Nemophila and then also Lovebites and then you have the Japanese female metal/rock quartet with BAND-MAID and Hanabie.

They led off with Domination at the live concert I attended in Minneapolis, last year. A great way to start.
Maidiac favorite for sure!

That was with two feet in this song.
@@davesheville2023 maybe in this one. but in general she has been known to be fast with 1 foot
@@DaElfer Absolutely. Check out what she does in Influencer while playing a 1/16 groove during the bass solo
Hate? live 10yr anniversary show Yokohama Arena. Band Maid rock !

Your daughter was just showing you the female plan for World Domination.😁
Another Japanese band is Hagane, Hero Time live. They have a new line up.
"They are so good live!" Band Maid fans: It is known.
hahaha dude you haven't even scratched the surface there are so so so many outstanding Japanese bands for you to still experience !

Phenomenal performance. Slay it every time.
Nemophila is another phenomenal band from Japan. Oiran( Official Live, the latest one) Revive, Zen( Official Live), Rise etc..

When he is lucky he will discover Lovebites too before it is too late for the US shows in September. 🎉😂

This ridiculous. 5 days?
Nightwish: Walking in the Air. All 4 parts of, Lappi. Wishmaster. Or, Know Why The Nightingale Sings.
Pausing at the climax of the song?!? Another terrible reactor.
