- In 2014 we're going to release our final record and tour the world one more time. We don't want to fade out. We want to end with hugs and celebrate the life that was Anberlin and not be bummed about us ending.

You guys may never read this comment, but I want you to know, without your music, I believe I would be dead. I was alone in the dark and afraid of everything around me. The only comfort I had was in your inspirational lyrics, they kept me going. I will never forget the impact you have left on my life. From playing Final Fantasy 12 while jamming to you guys back in high school, to rocking out on my way to college. You guys are the reason I am here today. I just want to say thank you. I will see you live for my first and last time. Just give me the dates and I will be there. Thank you again for everything you have done. God bless you all.
I'm a grown man & I almost feel like crying right now lol. Seriously though this is so sad, but stoked you guys are releasing one last album & tour! We are lucky fans! All good things must come to an end. I've seen this band live at least 10 times & every show has been phenomenal. Anberlin will go down as one of the GREATEST bands in my opinion.

Cities was the album that got me through high school and while I have to say this news saddens me, I'm glad that Anberlin is ending on good terms and with a bang. Everything comes to an end at some point. I'm looking forward to the last album and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure I catch them on this last tour!
Same. Cities was one of the most important albums of my life. I don't think I'd be exaggerating to say it shaped who i am today.

I believe you. My perspective on so many things changed because of Cities and its amazing writing. Very few albums have gotten to me the way that Anberlin's have.
A friend got me onto them a couple of years ago, and I just fell in love. Caught the last Australian tour, and I'll most definitely catch them again this time.
I'm losing all these amazing bands that I've literally grown up with and I can't find anything that comes remotely close to them :(
As far as I can tell, Anberlin is everything a great band should be. They're kind, humble, they do it for the love of the music and their fans rather than the money. They never sold out. They have a unique sound that's evolved over their career but never lost what makes them 'them.' They have great, meaningful lyrics and sound as great in person as they do on an album. Truly great bands like Anberlin don't come along every day and I know I will miss them greatly.
You're my favorite band!
I have had the opportunity to see and meet the guys from Anberlin a few months ago. I've listened to all of their albums since the start and they have definately influenced me musically. It makes me super sad to see them go. A talented and humble bunch of dudes. All the best on the next chapter in your lives, Anberlin. All the best for 2014.
Sad to hear about this... I'm from Spain and I've travelled two times to see you live. And will do again this year. Thanks for everything, your music will never fade away.
This is no surprise to me, only because everything has to come to an end at some point. 12 years is a great run. Yes, they will be missed but they'll remain iconic forever.

Anberlin started when I was two. I've grown up listening to their songs and singing along at the top of my lungs. They're a huge part of my life, and I just want them to know how much they've affected me. Saying goodbye will be hard and I'm already dreading it. This band has been my life, and I'm tearing up just thinking about goodbye.
This band has been so influential with music, and it's always sad to see such a big-name finally hit their final stride. Thank you Anberlin for bringing it hard for 12 years and we as fans hope to see you guys continue your lives as humble as this video was.

They can't end yet. This band has done nothing but sing about causes worth supporting and have backed it up by giving back to the community. However with that being said, the world is more messed up than ever and in result, it is now more than ever that the world needs Anberlin, to guide people to do the right thing. U guys are one of the very few bands today who sing about and support the causes that the world needs to fight for and u guys shouldn't stop that just yet. So I along with all the Anberlin fans in the world say please don't call it quits just yet. The world needs the guidance that u guys bring now more than ever!!!!!

It's a bummer for me though. I found you guys a month ago and just learned of this. :'/ meh. Though I'll never get to see you live, you've become one of my favorite bands. Your music is so unique, and your outlook on life is so beautiful. I've fallen in love with your lyrics, with your sound, but most of all, the heart you can feel beating in your music. Anberlin will live forever. You've made something truly amazing. You guys should be proud of yourselves. Just thought you should know :)
At first i was like new album awesome. Then he said last album i started to tear up. Then he said last tour i started to cry. Just know anblerin your music will live on through us you wont fade away and you sure will never end. I dont know how but i will get tickets to see you in concert and i will remember it for the rest of my life because you guys are better than any other band in my opinion. I hate what I feel right now. I don't even like this video. I hate goodbyes. You're my musical heroes. Your music is my best traveling buddy, my pre-sleeping prayers, my morning showers. I don't want you to go, guys. And I hate you for doing so.
Now 22 years old, I was 12 when I first heard Blueprints for the Black Market- my uncle on Yahoo IM casually sent me a link on PureVolume that had some songs. Needless to say, I was hooked from the start. Like most teens fortunate enough to listen to Cities, your guys' music really helped me change the way I think about the world around me, including myself. In some of the most depressing moments of my life, your music blasting through my ear-buds took me away from the places that I didn't want to be at. Your following albums had some ups and downs but as I've grown older, I've come to appreciate the more mature themes beneath the shell. Anyways, I'll be at your show and buying that one last album but I, and the rest of your fans, ask you this:
Give us that one epic final track to remember- a *Finale to last us the rest of our lives.

Wow this blows! But i understand now that i have a family, im sure the biggest reason for this decision is family. Good luck with the next chapter in life. One request though, if this is it, top the Cities album. Pull out all the stops & blow our faces off! Thanks for the music. J

I've missed going to your show twice now and said "they'll be back around"; When I saw the second Philly tour date after the first one that sold out almost immediately, I cannot miss it.
Absolutely crushed. Anberlin and New Found Glory have been the only two bands that I have been there for me since high school. No hiatus, no band drama, no long breaks between albums.
Definitely going to see these guys at Warped and on their final tour as long as it comes anywhere near me.
This announcement makes me so sad... Anberlin has been my favorite band for the past 6 or 7 years and has produced great music that I wish more of the world could've appreciated. Thank you, Anberlin, for all of these wonderful years. I look forward to the final tour and record - hopefully I'll finally be able to attend a concert!

I'm so thankful to have been along for this ride. Life changing songs and lyrics have propelled so many lives forward, including my own. I love Anberlin. I will always love Anberlin. I'm sure from here on out I'll feel like there's a hole in my heart, like something important will be missing. But the promise of "one more album" makes me wonder what their swan song will be like. I grew up listening to Anberlin with my older sister. I've had the honor of seeing them live three times so far (hope to see them once more) I'm so so sad to see them go. Anberlin has been my inspiration since their beginning especially to become a musician myself. I can't believe it has been 12 years in the making. I know that each one of you will be remembered by me. My kids and their kids will definitely be listening to your music as well. Stephen, Nate, Joey, Deon, Christian...make this last album amazing just like you each have. Nothing but love for each one of you. I will definitely be seeing you at warped tour and the final tour.

I am so glad to see that you will be coming back to Ohio, I will never forget your concert in Columbus at the Newport in 2012, it was the best concert I have ever been to. I wish you were coming back but luckily Cincinnati is not that far of a drive, I will be there no doubt. I just gotta see you guys before it all ends. Thank you for all the masterpieces you have released. You will always be my favorite band.
I was just at one of their final concerts (Newport Music Hall, Columbus, Ohio) and it was just amazing. The entire concert was moving and they played songs from just about every album. I'm not a singer, and I'm afraid to sing in church because someone might hear me, but during that concert, I lost my voice, singing the lyrics I knew so well, the lyrics that meant so much to me. It truly is sad to see you go, but I completely understand your reason. Thanks for coming this far, and for changing the lives of so many.
P.S. If Anberlin hasn't come to your area yet for that concert, please go. You definitely won't regret it.

Assuming you're not kidding, you've got to stop giving a shit to what people think of you. You wanna sing in church if the time is appropriate? Then do it. Don't let pointless opinions of others prevent you from doing what you want. It's your life to live.

I saw yall this Saturday for the first and last time, and got the tickets for my 20th birthday. 1) the performance brought me to tears. so, that was awesome. and 2) thank you guys for doing your music and being great guys in general. I know I don't just speak for myself when I say y'all's music has made me question and explore big life ideas and grow as a person. You played the soundtrack of my youth. Yall helped me get through some of the toughest parts of my life; I myself am perusing a life as a visual artist and your music is one of my main influences and inspirations. so, in a nutshell, Thank You.
Nooooo oh my gosh you guys are one of my all time favorites!! I'm really sad you guys are calling it quits, but it's understandable after being together already for such a long time tho, and you have released lots of albums. BUT what i'm really sad about is you guys cancel so many shows in Europe. Especially in The Netherlands. I believe you have only played there once and never even a headliner tour. So PLEASE finally do a headline tour in the Netherlands. We have been waiting since FOREVER. Literally. It's your last chance, don't disappoint the Dutch again, or you will forever go down in history as a band who always cancelled and didn't book a show here.
I discovered you guys when I was 14 when you were the opening band for Story of the Year at the Electric Factory in Philly but I came from Baltimore for the show that day and out of the whole set you turned out to be my favorite. I've listened to you ever since. I'm now 26 living in Rome and I still listen to you guys regularly even when I've shelved just about all the other bands I listened to when I was in high school. Your music always has rocked and grown naturally like it should! The lyrics always spot on and speak to me then and now. I'm sad this is your last 'hoorah' but I understand life constantly changes pace and you have to go with it. If you are going to do a world tour Please Please Please try to come to Rome or Italy!!! I would love to be at one of the final shows. I'm really sad to see you guys go but Thanks for many great years of music!!!

I hope that the Philippines will be part of your final tour destinations. You guys put on a heck of a show for us back in 2011. It's still vivid in my mind. One of the best shows I've seen and have been a part of. Your fans await you back here! Give us the chance to show some love!

This is so sad! I never got to see them live, I live in Oklahoma. They are truly my favorite band, I'm always listening to their songs while eagerly waiting for more. I haven't found any others as perfect as Anberlin! Perhaps if Stephen Christian continues with Anchor & Braille then it won't be a complete loss.
Anberlin have been my favourite band for years now and basically formed my music taste and got me listening to more music and different kinds of music. And as cheesy as it is I probably wouldn't be in the same place I am now without them, I wouldn't have the amazing friends I have now or the awesome taste in music ;) Obviously I am so sad to see them go (even had a bit of a cry, lol), but I am also excited to see them that one last time, we are some of the luckiest fans ever, lets all make sure these are the best shows Anberlin will remember!!!
I've seen you live nine times. I think I still have two shirts. I still want lyrics as a tattoo. My friends and I stayed two hours at a Denny's just because we heard you might go there after your show, you did, we met you, it was amazing. You cannot possibly know how you have influenced my life over the past 8 years. This is going to be rough.

This makes me really sad. My siblings were big fans of Anberlin so I've been listening to this album since I was very very young. Within the past few years I have rediscovered this band and has since become a favorite. They better come to my city for their final tour! I wouldn't miss it for anything!
