The joints that come with Victory Leo replace the hips and knees of Star Saber. The ratchets go and in their place are strong friction joints that make posing him and the combined mode a night and day experience compared to the stock loadout. I do feel similar in that there's a real disconnect between the pair aesthetically as well as in terms of overall fit and finish when combined. Victory Saber (as a robot, forget that jet mode.. yiiiikes) definitely comes together better than what you showed in the vid, but I appreciate that a) these are not your figures to strip apart and b) these are not your figures to push past what you're comfortable with. It's interesting seeing how much of a mess it is without the upgraded joints. Almost reinforces that lack of synergy the pair have.
Ok so... I think I'm going to get the planet X Lion, keep my Iron Trans Saber. And just never combine them until Iron Trans comes out with their own Lion.
A Victory Saber that doesn't involve Lil' Saber!? That is heretic by itself...on the other hand, it seems like a move that a pre-brand unification Hasbro would absosmurfinlutely pull. Yeah, I think that I'll keep lookin' for the KFC Simba and the KFC/XTB upgrade kit for MP24 Starsaber. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
GM - You sure are an early bird Bobby. Thanks for the review, wish it wasn't so flip floppy. Wishhing you a nice weekend (it's super cold here in TX, hopefully not as cold where you live).
Looks bad here but if the replacements fix it as others are saying then good on them for making it right. It still looks goofy to me tho, just not to my tastes.
The replacement joints totally make the difference when posing and handling Victory Saber
Yeah, the new joints that come with this figure for their Star Saber make a HUGE difference. Night and day. Even with the replacement head too.
Victory Leo literally came with replacement joints. You're complaining about something that has already been fixed.
It looks decent enough, sad that hasbro can't touch the 3rd party offerings with their own I.P.
Wait, didn’t Victory Leo pop up in the 2019 IDW continuity ? I seem to recall him in the search for Alpha Trion
Yup, Transformers Galaxies 12.

Wonder if the Black Version meshes better?
Bobby "Victory 2" Face!
I'm not regretting my decision to go irontrans.

My guess is Victory Leo was a "maybe" project, and Planet X was more focused on Star Saber.
yeesh
They took Starsabers Idw design and mixed it with Flametoys Starsaber posability

Once you change the joints with the replacements they hold perfectly for combined mode :)
Did you really say 'take out your little fella' without a 'so to speak'?!?! ;-)

Why didn't you use the replacement joints?
Sloppy job, Bobby. Be better.
He didn’t replace the joints because he already stated that it’s not his and didn’t want to replace the joints without permission
