Great video Mao - thanks for posting! Question - are the bones really needed? I ask only because I've seen other basic cloth sim tutorials without the bones. I'm sure there are pros/cons - would be interested in understanding that aspect based on your experience. Looking forward to more technical details about the scene.
@@unfgames - OK, thanks. I tried it with only the Root Bone and it works fine too. Just wanted to confirm this with you in case adding the additional bone provided certain benefits that I wasn't aware of.
Question: I have a PNG texture with an alpha channel (my flag has holes), will unreal treat the alpha channel as a hole or should I model it separetely?

If your cloth end isn't simulating correctly, you need to paint it with a value of 1000. That should fix it.

i think if its only cloth simulation you can get away with only the root bone
