Yes of course it sounds like and was meant to. it was one of my favourite tracks in the 70s but to set the record straight I recreated it using some of my old 70s keyboards.but based on the origional Summer madness track. but if I have got it that close to the origional then I'm happy that most people can't tell Ha-ha 😝😝😝 Job done. I agree with PH. I have often wished K&TG hadn't abandoned their Jazzy roots for more commercial pursuits. Like so many great R&B artists, who went for the money as opposed to creating music at its finest. Sure you got to earn a better living. I just wish it didn't come at the expense of your musical integrity. Hey, thanks for keeping the vibes like this alive PH!
I agree with you. My favorite song by them is not Summer Madness but Wild and Peaceful from the Lp of the same name. Great song!! But I walked away from the band when they went commercial. I can’t say how many times I had to bear standing up at the various team, department and organizational meetings that made ‘Celebration’ their mantra. Now as soon as I hear the first two notes I excuse myself to take a walk until it’s over.
