@@vigil7924 so this comment was originally an idea for a Captain America and crossbones boss fight but now I've just decided to change my mind after using Google so here's my new idea also let me know what you think about this idea so if we ever get a moon night game I hope that we will get a fight between Moon Knight and taskmaster and that fight is like the Batman Arkham origins Deathstroke boss fight so like there's no weapons no gadgets just straight hand to hand combat so let me know do you think this would be a good boss fight for a Moon Knight game let me know what you think about this idea
Teen Titans showed just how impactful Deathstroke can be in a leadership role. He’s every bit as capable of dealing with matters personally, but he also gets to showcase his methodical side a lot more. Deathstroke is one of only two villains in my opinion that are perfect rivals for Batman - the other being Ra’s al Ghul - in terms of both physically and intellectually. I’m guessing that Rocksteady also realized this to some degree which is why they didn’t have a more intimate fight with Deathstroke in Arkham Knight. One, because Origins already had one and most players of Knight probably played that game. Two, they already had a fisticuffs fight with Ra’s in Arkham City. But, I’m of the belief that Deathstroke indeed should’ve been the militia leader throughout the entirety of Arkham Knight. First and foremost, he is former military which means he’s best-suited to be running a military occupation. You basically give him the Teen Titans treatment - bonus points if you get Ron Perlman to voice him. For Jason, he’s a chaotic neutral character torn between disproving Batman’s ideology and protecting the city. Have him come in randomly during free roam moments and side missions with the argument that Batman’s wasting his time trying to handle everything personally and if he keeps it up, he’s gonna lose someone else. When Robin is taken by Scarecrow, Jason and Batman show up to the movie studios at the same time. Jason declares he’s going to kill Scarecrow since ANOTHER Robin has been kidnapped and he’s not about to let Batman handle it his way again. Batman obviously disagrees… cue emotional boss fight. Going back to Deathstroke, after Batman takes out all the militia targets, you can have the tank battle as is, but cap it off with fisticuffs. Fight in the street; have a chase across the rooftops; Deathstroke brings in another vehicle to entice a high-speed chase; basically have his confrontation be a test of every ability Batman has and design it to encourage players to max out their skill tree before engaging.
Great video! Really wish Deathstroke got more love and attention in the series. FYI in the Arkham Knight Genesis comic, Jason actually broke out himself during the chaos of Joker’s takeover and Deathstroke was hired after the fact to return (or kill I forget which) him. But Jason is able to bribe Slade not to, leading to their partnership.
I would like it if after the cobra tank battle has a follow up chase down in the city and ending up in port adams(like the origins trailer) and duel there (plus phases) as payoff for completing a long side mission
I think more videos like this, especially on a regular basis (like every Sunday for example. I never have good stuff to watch on Sundays) would help you grow your channel, dude. I definitely found you from one of your previous "video essays."
Deathstroke was obviously awesome in Origins. My only criticism is that the fight happened *too soon* in the story. I wish it had happened more towards the middle of the game. Maybe it's a point in Slade's favor that he found Batman so soon, but it means he gets forgotten for the rest of the game and is gone too soon. As for Knight...yeah, we all know why he was bad in Knight lol. He definitely deserved a hand-to-hand fight, along with the Arkham Knight as well. Slade getting knocked out with a single punch was criminal.
Thank you, I haven't seen a Deathstroke analysis in so long, this video is PERFECT. The editing, the dialog, and the analysis is something I usually see in a bigger creator, I hope you can become one. (Sorry if this doesn't make sense, this is the last video I'm gonna watch before I go to bed.)
i havent seen one of your vids in a while, glad to see your still going. Good luck in your studies and hopefully one of these days ill be able to catch a livestream
It's a decent fight for sure, but it just makes me realize that the combat system isnt designed for 1v1 encounters. A lock-on mechanic wouldve made it so much better. And with that in mind, I truly think that a Soulslike Batman game would be INCREDIBLE. Just imagine being able to make your own build and having an actual focus on boss fights.
I think he was used perfectly because it wouldn't make sense for him to be in Asylum Or City but they could've done so much better with his boss fight in Knight
I know Deathstroke was thrown in last minute due to them not animating Batman's head to look at Slade post-lockup and reused the animation of Batman dragging in Professor Pyg in the GCPD building.
Honestly it should've been the cloudburst knockoff and then slade escapes, you have to chase him around gotham and then the final fight like the one you described takes place on the lady of gotham/wayne tower, where it ends with you and deathstroke fighting mid-air. AK had soo much potential and had such a great story, great mechanics, gadgets, etc. but none of that potential was actually used.
Bro, if at least one person enjoys my video, it's worth it. I get to talk about and make videos about stuff I like regardless of how many views I get. Besides, the channel has far exceeded expectations, and I'm excited to see how I can push it even further
I haven’t finished the video but imma say underused because I don’t think we’ve really had many good deathstroke battles except in origins (just starting my first asylum and city play so please no spoilers)
It's from Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, but sped up and slightly altered because it was hard to find the right amount of footage to use where there wasn't any last second and confusing cuts. Nightwings dialogue was also removed right after he picks up his weapons
bro if the devs really make deathstroke use his max potential they would have no choice but to kill off batman in his own game, so they had to nerf slade so that bruce can continue to progress the story because otherwise deathstroke could have killed batman and collect his 50 million and call it a night.
Underrated, DC media uses him as a C-tier villain over and over with the exception of Teen Titans. Arkham design is ONLY the best modern Deathstroke suit ever. Edit: Vigil literally says the same thing in the video before I even continued to watched at the half-minute mark so I could answer the video’s question
Overall I don’t think he was underused but He certainly was underutilized. When playing as him you can’t use his swords or Guns which is a HUGE letdown and his boss fight in knight is pathetic and could have been so much better. Death stroke in himself isn’t much of a Batman villain though he’s more of dick graysons villain so if he only was on origins it would be perfectly fine and him not playing much of a role in knight is understandable
“Best hand to hand fighter in the world, Gladiator, warrior.” Giving DS these titles has gotta be the funniest thing ever. Imagine needing super steroids to compete and still getting your ass handed to you by your opponent not even breaking a sweat. There’s a reason DS is considered a TT adversary and even then barely. Man needs to fight literal teens because the grown ups know he’s a joke. His pathetic showcase in Arkham Knight was honestly inevitable.

I personally think the only thing Rocksteady failed at in Arkham Knight was not putting Two-Face and Penguin fighting Batman in Cobra Tanks
"Besting the Electrocutioner in a somewhat difficult boss fight"
Keep the jokes coming dude. You got a solid laugh out of me.
Idk, when I first played, that was pretty tough

God I love Arkham Origins, I’ve played it so much that this Fight on even the Hardest Difficulty is a complete cakewalk but still awesome to look at.
Deathstroke got done so dirty in Arkham Knight, makes me wonder if the devs found out he's a cannonical predator.
After that the reboot and other Earth versions of him date around his age.
Terra (Judas Contract)
That's all I'm gonna say...
best boss fights - origins
best story - arkham city
best atmosphere - arkham asylum
best graphics and gameplay - arkham knight.

I wonder if Rocksteady had little time with doing the side missions, they felt extremely repetitive and/or short
