I have a soft spot for Del Sol's from my grandfather's 96 S manual, he got it right at that age where I was just super excited about ANY car, and here was this little funky manual transmission thing with a lift-off roof and a sweet feeling cockpit, and I loved it. I loved that my grandfather loved it, when he otherwise suffered with depression...and how one day in his early 80s he told me about the time he got it up to 110 MPH with a twinkle in his eye. I ended up helping someone (who I really didn't actually like at all, long story) buy my grandfather's car after he died, and was super glad when it ended up in the hands of someone else way cooler who was going to do a crazy turbo build on it. Last I saw it it was in his garage on stands with no cylinder head because it was off somewhere getting built, and he was walking me though his build plan...he seemed to be targeting huge power, like 500 crank...wonder whatever came of that car?
