Thanks much again Augustin! I thoroughly enjoyed this lesson. You're also very talented...in being quite funny at times with a sense of humor; which helps me to de-stress and to lighten up my day. LOLLL!!! "Gypsy trill" :) I'll be warming up with trills starting later today!

Beyond helpful! Yes, both Mozart and Paganini were operatic. Their music needs to be sung, regardless of the instrument. This cantilena quality in your violin playing is compelling and irresistible. Thank you Augustin for another wonderful and illuminating video.

Very good advice. Aaron Rosand also always emphasised trill exercises for hand warm-up and finger independence, such as using Kreutzer #19 as part of one's daily regimen.

when i practice trills too much, they don't get better; my forearm muscles just get tense and the trills get worse, especially trilling on fast notes, like Wieniawski op 18 no 1. must just be a lack of talent.

Chuck Cornelius it is most definitely not a lack of talent. You’ll get it one day!
