The MAC meter is a good starter meter for beginners who do not know what they're doing. The lock-outs on the ports is great for reminding people they're leads are in the wrong ports.
It goes on sale at least twice a year and is always bundled with another tool or an amp clamp
I got that Mac meter with the bag of leads that mac has and I love it.
Thanks for the heads up. Just a DIY’er but needed a better Multi meter then the Harbor Fraud one. Will get a nicer one one day but for now the $13 dollar one will do all I need.
I have 3 fluke dmm's and a couple other meters if various types, and i think ill snag one of these at this price, always nice to have a spare knick sround meter for junk yarding or nasty jobs.
Ive had a uni-t with amp clamp that was aroun 45 dollars. Ive had it for 4-5 years and id highly recommend it.
I really do like the Snap On for auto repair work due to orientation, easy to read, and the app has worked well for me getting readings on my phone. At home I’ve got the Fluke 87 Max I think it’s called, it’s the one that’s drop resistant and water proof, true RMS, lifetime warranty, USA made. It’s awesome for electrical work, especially outdoors.
Now my Snap On scan tool has a scope and multimeter built in as well, which makes the Snap On multimeter a straight up luxury. Guilty as charged :). But you do need to kind of trick it to get live and scope data in separate windows on the same screen due to Snap On’s software design choices, so having a multimeter handy is nice when I just want to flip a dial and not mess around with the scope side of the scan tool.
I have a cheap multimeter than l keep in my utility drawer in the house and it does what's needed for the home. But my go to for anything serious is my Fluke 83 with interchangeable pick up lead ends. Including a Amp clamp. Got it in the early 90s and it still works perfect, has a 9v battery that's long lasting. Made in Everett WA.

I have an old snap-on meter (fluke) and I have the big Snap-on. Working with Mach-e’s and (unfortunately) Lightning’s, the big snap-on is the preferred meter from Ford engineers. The biggest thing is graphing and Bluetooth. I have it bluetoothed to my iPad and can screen record then send it into Ford. You gotta love warranty haha.
Thanks for honest review
My pleasure 😊
I have a blue point meter. The “starting out” one. I’m headed into the electrical quarter after Christmas break. We shall See how it works. I do plan to upgrade to the fluke 88 though
I work in a industrial setting and work on a lot of high voltage so the only meter that I will trust is a fluke
Before the video even started I got a good chuckle: harbor freight ad! 😆
I have a Blueprint meter since the early 80's it has served me nicely CP what do you think of the strap on battery tester it's on sale not much of a sale 10% discount Lol 👍😎👍
Thanks CP. Might have to get one of those. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT brother
Thanks, you too!
I love that tesmen meter, I have 2 now
My primary go to. Fieldpiece SC260 and Kyoritsu 1100 analog (Made in Japan, the good ones!) Nice review and thoughts, the field piece allows me to also do "T drop". Merry Christmas looking forward to 2024 with CP.
Thanks for sharing!
Hmmm hard to not just get a fluke. But I do like the snap on one
Hello again, CP
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I may have to get one of those tecmen meters. Merry Christmas to you and your family. 😊
Thanks, you too!
Thanks, you too!
I do like the snapon. Nice big screen and the Bluetooth feature is nice also 🪛🪒🔧
I used it 3xs this year lol
I want to get my hands on a Fluke 88V multimeter. I have a fluke multimeter model number 117 but, it's more of an entry level residential electricians multimeter. I've been wanting to get a second Fluke meter that is a model geared towards more the automotive arena. Fluke offers several models and sometimes it's tricky to narrow down what is what.
I got one off aliexpress that's the size of your cell phone for $9..took 2 weeks to get it. But hey for testing basic voltage 🤷♂️ I wouldn't hit 480v with jt..lol
Matcos basic meter is good. 100 bucks off the truck. If I had the money I’d buy a fluke.
I have a fluke 177 I got used about 18 years ago and a fluke amp clamp. Does everything I need and still works like new. Fluke is hard to beat but expensive.
Totally agree!!
Would you recommend to get the fluke 87V CP ? Been looking for a new multimeter to upgrade from my fluke 115 multimeter.
Absolutely 💯
Was just looking for a good voltmeter since I don't know shit about diag. Guess we are learning today, boys! Almost got a hobo freight one the other week too lol
Well, that is fortunate for you, my friend!!
👍👍👍
I'ld say the Snap-on Advanced EEDM meter is Hot Trash, but that's not nice to trash.
This meter destroys 9v batteries! So make sure you have lots of spares or invest in rechargeable 9v
Absolutely 💯 better buy stock in energizer to keep this thing rolling lol
Fluke is the gold standard multi-meter.
🙌🙌
Tool truck meters are overrated and overpriced. Fluke or your Amazon specials are the way to go. Non contact meters can sometimes check injectors and coil over plug coils. Great job cp
Totally agree! And solid point!!
You need a non digital meter also in your tool bag.
A test light covers that need
I can’t even watch this… you’re one week late. I’m afraid to hear 😂
Lol chicken!!
@@CPthetooladdict after this puckering Vikings game 😂
