When 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment head home from Cyprus this month they will be saying goodbye not just to Alexander Barracks but also their Commanding Officer. In a day of bittersweet celebration, the Poachers staged a traditional send-off ceremony for Lieutenant Colonel Bruce Weston, with an added - top secret - twist.

In 1997 I participated in a manover with this battalion in Jordan... Sam Wilson was my accompanying / counterpart officer from the British side... Regards for Sam....

I remember doing a BFT along that beach in 1989,didn't end well with going on piss the night before 😂 😂 😂, still managed to cross the line in time, looked like something out of the walking dead though, I wasn't the only one 😂 😂 😂 49 fld regiment royal artillery 55 bty great days!!!!!
The Parachute Regiment only get combat postings.

four eleven forty-four first of all they are in Cypriot soil not British soil like Gibraltar plus they should pay Cyprus every year for the use of their base under the agreement they sign instead they don’t pay nothing

I grantee you when your troops went to Canada it was the best training theyve ever had. Smart countries fear Canada. We have the best military training in the world. If you guys know your facts and history theyll be no need to argue.

Every white nato country has the same level of standardized recruit training. Even the special forces training barely derivates from each other as they even train together all the time. Multinational crosstraining of Nato troops. The best normal "infantryman" aka recruittraining is definitely that of the IDF. My basic training compared to that of my jewish wife was a joke. As they literally live in a warzone surrounded by millions of muslims who want to see them dead and tried it already a few times
