It IS Peter Coke! I looked it up. In the intro, which is cut off here, the announcer says 'starring Peter Coke and Isabel Dean'. I guess it's not surprising, considering the producer is Martyn C Webster, who also produced the Paul Temple series!

In the beginning I thought this was going to a little too haughty for my taste, but it quickly settled into a terrific little story.

There is a film of this. Watched it on Talking Pictures channel a couple of months ago.
The accents certainly DON’T put me off, they are delightful, you can hear every words clearly and precisely. RP as it used to be called😊
