It's amazing what you can achieve only using the init preset from U-He Diva! With only a few clicks, you'll have a great pluck sound, a great pad sound and a great bass sound. Its a perfect starter for new Melodic Techno, Melodic House tracks. - Check out our Ben Böhmer RUclips Tutorial series: bit.ly/30l1f2l
Update: some guys said the init patch is different for them: It could be that this precise "init" patch only loads up when you load Diva fresh from your plugins to a midi track. Instead, when you reset to init in Diva itself it might load up a different init patch. Also: If you want to turn it into a "plucky" bass sound, simply follow the same steps used to get to the "melody pluck sound" and then turn off delay and reverb and play a sound 2 octaves lower.
@@ProductionMusicLive I’m not sure how to replicate that if you’ve already made some changes to Diva by adding parameters to “configure” and then “saving as default configuration”. In this case it will load your customized default - not sure how to get back to the true default.
@@kiyanazarbar3319 Hey, nope, nothing has been saved as default config prior to this. This is how it ships (at least for me, and I know it works exactly the same for Johannes from Ableton Techno Vlog, I remember him loading up this exact patch in his studio). However, this seems to be the default when its first loaded up on a midi channel, not one of the other inits you can choose from the template folder. Maybe someone else can check and confirm or report whats happening for them?
@@francoispml Hi Francois, I understand what you're saying, I'm just saying that if a person makes any changes to Diva (for example to choose which parameters can be automated/controlled using configure) and then does a "Save as Default Configuration", then that overwrites the default and when you then load Diva onto a default midi channel, it'll use that customized default. So I'm not sure how to replicate the "true" init default. Maybe I can delete the default configuration I've saved and try this again. Regardless, great video -- I've been working on Diva chords just this week and was having trouble with them sounding a bit too harsh, but using Lag as a filter envelope really softens things up.

Great video, just one question, when I assign my LAG filter, the cutoff filter basically filters the sound to nothing until it is above 50%. In the video above, you have filter at 10% and it is loud?

It would have helped to explain the settings on this patch, in more detail... you know.... so owners of other soft synths could recreate it... maybe....?
Mostly yes, however some "warmth" is a bit hard to achieve using Serum only. Not saying its impossible, but you might need some processing afterwards maybe. However, whenever warm sound is needed, Diva is just a very convenient choice.
I've asked this question to other producers as well, let me explain my situation. I have Ableton Suite and some plugins from Splice. Do I really need Diva to advance in producing? Or Serum? Or a proper sample pack? Up to this point all producers have to told me to get a good sample pack first but no advice on investing in a synth
The divine setting sends my pc crazy. I change the quality setting to draft but the offline process at best if things start mounting up to save processing power 👍

The two FreqModSrc are normally set to Env2 and Lfo2 in the Init Minimono or Minipoly template. Looks like yours is set to Lag and Add?
@@kiyanazarbar3319 Yeah, when loading it NEW onto a midi channel, thats how it loads up (exactly as shown in the video & Diva 1.4.4).

I guess it also depends on the style of music you want to be making. Warm Melodic House? Diva is a great choice. Fat EDM Bangers? Serum will help.
@@ProductionMusicLive Mostly melodic house/progressive techno lile Ben Bohmer, Lane 8, Tinlicker, Paul Kalkbrenner
@@KimJongUnIsSupreme Over time, Diva AND Serum will serve you well then. You could use Splice's rent to own option for Serum.
Diva ❤️
The perfect tutorial
How you skipped oscillator 1?
idk about others but this init preset gives my cpu a hard time.. :D
