    Inflation and Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 4 years.

I also bought this exact case and took it successfully to Mainland Malaysia and Langkawi for two weeks so it can definitely be done for any length of time if you just find a washing machine 😂 This is a great video! Thank you! You are right, most carry on videos cram in as much as possible because they don’t share our 7kg weight limit. In fact, my personal item and my carry on total had to be within the 7kg limit and yes it was weighed twice - once at check in and again at the gate!

    One thing though, your tip about waiting until the last minute to check in so that your bags won’t get weighed isn’t something I’d recommend right now. One thing you rarely see in these videos are the travelers MEASURING their bags to ensure they are in compliance. These days when traveling on low cost airlines, the bag size, weights, and the number of bags allowed is critical. In fact, if the plane is a full flight, you may be directed to gate-check your bag as there is no more overhead space.

    • @NonStopTravelVV
      @NonStopTravelVV 8 месяцев назад

      Very true. I did measure my carry on suitcase but I didn’t put that part in the video. Most standard size carry on bags are within the size guidelines though but it’s always good to double check. My Samsung carry on bag was within all the guidelines for size, even the strictest requirements form the cheap airlines 😅 and yes I had to check it in at the gate with two of my flights because I was boarding in the end. I did learn my lesson to always line up right away and board the plane right away in order to avoid having the bag checked in. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience!

      @@NonStopTravelVV Considering the American's came up with the rule to stop terrorists blowing up planes with liquid explosives they need to comply, but either way on public videos it is best to comply as people tend to copy youtubers and it gets them in shit when they don't follow the rules, we are extremely strict all over Europe especially in the UK but there is a scanning machine that is being used in Ireland and hopefully being rolled out where you can take more liquids on board, i have to travel carry on only due to my health issues as i am not strong enough to manage a big case now, i have learnt a tonne of tricks, hacks and tips to size down, i am sorry i was harsh with my words but i do mean well, i want to watch videos with new tips as i love packing light and right! you can get disposible caps from ebay or amazon for around 5 dollars for 100 and you can also reuse them for many items for example dirty undies on the way home, you can use new ones to protect tights from laddering in the case, small items, put over a hat and gloves, cap to protect it from spillages etc etc...i use a tint on my hair so had to take one away a couple of weeks ago and you have instructions, gloves, powder tint, brush and bottle and hood so i put all of them in a shower cap which i used over the hood... i use a lot of solid products too and decant products by measuring how much i need per application a few weeks prior to the trip .. i know when i go away next 100 mls of my special shampoo for hair loss will last 8 hair washes and 50mls of the matching conditioner will last the same... 10mls is plenty of perfume for two weeks and the same amount of foundation and other products like primer is plenty for over two weeks, you buy corresponding sizes in the many varities of container and simply decant the amount you need for the trip, the shampoo needs six pumps per hair wash and the conditioner three so you add that much.. .. etc.. only use a bag or container that is small enough to create the smallest profile and take up the smallest amount of space ... flat flat flat xxx

      Interesting ideas. For my shampoo, I use 1, maybe 1.5 pumps and that is plenty, but I need at least 2 pumps for conditioner. I’ve always needed way more conditioner than shampoo. We’re all different.
      I would also suggest hitting a dollar/pound store for the shower caps. Got a pack of 10 or 12 for $1, been using them for years.
      Agree that decanting into smaller containers is better. Many hotels, even some airbnb type places, provide shampoos, conditioners, and soaps (although if you need a special type, obv. bring your own).
      And makeup! Instead of bringing the kitchen sink, do more with less. Use things that can do double duty (I’ve seen people use lipstick as blusher, and eyebrow pencil as eyeliner). I’ve never understood why people bring half a suitcase’s worth of makeup.

      @@lokicooper4690 You get a pack of 100 shower caps for approx 4 british pounds on Amazon or Ebay so that is super expensive... one pump of the shampoo is not the same as one pump of yours LMAO! the idea is YOU measure how much of each item YOU need and people over do conditioner, i know as i did before speaking to two celeb hairdressers i know well.... I didn't say that is what other people should take ...
      The trend is to take a huge amount of make up and these girls take SO many brushes and they don't look any different to if they too two! I only take a travel size blusher brush and i use a tiny eyebrow brush that has a comb on the other side and it is less than the size of a finger..my make up bag is the size of a sandwich bag ..lol! I am an ex dancer, singer, actress so i do love make up but i would never bring more than can fit in a small bag.. i go very brown on hols so i decant a darker foundation and my normal one into tiny jars or bottles so i can still take a choice but i take less ... it is all about steering away from anything bulky and only taking the amount we use per week and double it for two weeks, as the limit is one litre of liquids in total adding solid toiletries will help for body wash, body moisturiser, face cleanser , solid deodorant and other items too many to list...
