Remnants of a once great class, by the time this video was made in 2008 it was already a vintage class running iron head small blocks. They actually still run now in 2019, but it’s absolutely nothing like it was in the 80’s and early 90’s, and not even close to sprint cars. For starters, they’re 100” WB, and most of the old cars were built on ‘55 Chevy car frames. They’re not nearly as quick as the IMCA modifieds of today. No one runs them on a regular basis around here anymore, they’re mostly a filler or nostalgia class. They were awesome in their hay day, but priced themselves out of existence running $25k or higher engines, and running for a $400 to win feature.

actually there northeast modified chassis with the side panels and doors/quarters and roof removed and with a half ass sprint car wing ontop
