  • How to Make a Simple and Powerful Water Pump - DIY - Hydraulic Pump - See how it works
This water pump is manually operated and can pump a large volume of water free of electricity and can therefore be used in isolated regions.
We use a clear tube, but you can use a PVC pipe.

Thank you for this demonstration. I think I can adapt this to pull water from my creek using a waterwheel and this idea.

Turn the spout, build a Paddle wheel.
so it keeps it turning and in the pool.
Then add a 220V motor to generate electricity 🤔

How do you make it water-powered?

Cool...but make it spin on it's own without electricity!

This project is a manual pump.. Not a free energy..

That's only free energy if you can make some fins and attach them to the side of the bottom wheel and somehow get it to stay upright in a river! This is a hand cranked water pump!

What would be the maximum height for the clear tube?

      as much as you need

Basically as much as the pipe resists the pressure of the water column (1 bar per 10 m) ... so this will probably not a limiting factor.
But the higher you want to pump the tighter the caps have to fit in the tube to prevent increasing leakage due to increasing pressure. The tighter the caps fit, the more force per cap inside the tube is needed. Thus you will have less eficciency the higer you go... either due to leakage or due to friction. In the latter case, at some point your rope is not up to the task anymore. ..

what if we replace the tube with separate gallons to carry water up
