My first CB was the Uniden PC 122 bought at a local Consumer store, now long gone out of business, six months later I bought an HR 2510 from Scanner World, as a Novice back then I worked 10 meters on the HR2510 later converted to 11 also, that was my base radio I DX the world ,I remember having contact with the Philippines on 11
30 years ago I have purchased from Scanner World who are no longer in business. Back then you could only order by phone and I remember the people were rude and unfriendly.
I also have the 2510 a good friend gave me. I just lowered the AM tx to 4 watts and the SSB just a bit to 20 watts because I've learned that the finals are now hard to find. I love this radio, since I got it almost two yeard ago, I've already made contacts with 50 different countries with it just using a rotary dipole that I made and always get good reports. Farthest I've made contact with was Brazil which is more than 19,000 kilometers from where I'm at here in the Philippines. By the way, I'm using it with a Turner Super Sidekick. Really penetrates the airwaves. For now, I'm just waiting for the capacitor kits I ordered for it and will soon recap it to freshen it up. 73....
I like these too . I have a couple of these that are super mint as well !!

I’m still using my old trusty 1988 HR2510 in my mobile. I have a soft spot for the old Uniden chassis’s.

Congratulations, nice find. Well, they don't make radios anymore like they used to. This older radios with some tlc will last a very long time.
Nice find.

My first CB. Bought in Fontanna CA truck stop, tweaked and tuned. I keep an eye out for 1 .
No tweaking and tuning for mine 😉
Just a real world frequency alignment is all I need for this one.
@@ScottsRadioscan you sell me that UNIDEN Grant CB radio ?
do you offer repairs on Grant's or 148's?
Scott, How much are you asking?
He said in the video he's not selling it.
If you want to sell it let me know - big shout out from the UK ❤
Capacitor - Weak - Flicker. Let the radio run for 12 to 24 hrs to refresh the capacitors.
