Thanks for the Rundown.
Perhaps Fortification mods from AOBA, there's a bit of a list of them and possibly Dead Man's Switch?
I'd like to see a quick rundown about a lot of the performance mods (Rocketman, performance optimizer, dubs performance analyzer, performance fish, etc). You wouldn't have to get into the details about all the ways it improves performance, but a before and after would be nice using performance analyzer to compare the FPS/TPS
I second that, always wanted to see the accurate difference before and after
@isolatedegg3234 It's *really* hard to show before/after with a lot of these performance mods because they need to be enabled throughout a colony to have their best impact.
So whilst you might claw back a few ticks by running a colony up to 4/5 years and then adding them in after it's got that far, the comparison that needs to be made realistically is a colony at 4/5 years without any of those mods and then *another* colony that has been played in the same way, for the same time, ideally in the same world/map for that long as well, but running the performance mods from day 1.
Believe me, I'd love to be able to do it properly and showcase it in that manner, I've wracked my brain on how to go about it legitimately as using devmode to advance time and forcefully 'flesh out' a lategame colony just isn't accurate. It skips all the relationships, the backstory generation, everything that is floating around in the world data after that many years.
Performance mod coverage is coming in the 'starter series' (name TBC) but I won't be able to go that deep unfortunately. I'd need a solid 2 weeks of capturing footage just to compare back/forth for a sub 10 minute video.
@@MysteriousFawx Ah that's understandable. I didn't think of how far it'd have to go to see it's true effects
Been using EPOE Forked since forever, I should try this one along with the new VFE Insectoids 2!
The nostalgia from hearing the Theme Hospital music. Followed by the announcer at the end? Perfection.
I just finished binge watching every single video you've made Fawx. Now i'm at a loss because there's nothing more to watch haha
Absolutely love the content! Looking forward to the next one!
@Doomguard60 It's a remastered version of the soundtrack by Krytie2X4B and they did an amazing job. Still shocked that all the classic Bullfrog games only get spiritual successors and someone hasn't fought tooth and nail to bring the 'Theme' franchise back.
Thank you for covering this mod! Even though I use this all the time (well, the hardcore version) I’m very forgetful so overviews are still really helpful
Vehicles expanded, deadmans switch, liberators, rim cities?
Thank you so much for doing these
Nice .. looking forward to watching
I'm waiting for insectoids 2 video, really need a guide given the size of that mod.
Opps, that was not medicine.
Hello, love your mod reviews they are concise and give all the necessary information. For the mod suggestion: as you mentioned being in a mood for prosthetics mods perhaps - Yet another prosthetic expansion mod - Core
Always a good day when you upload🤙
Thought on covering the Ashlands Mod? its a very fun biome mod based on Morrowind. Perfect for making the rim feel more exotic and alien
Okay, I saw that you explained the difference between EPOE and RBSE. So can we get a full video rundown of EPOE or is it too much of similar mods?
I'll be doing one for it, it'll just be a little longer before release is all. Got colony manager redux and insectoids 2 in the works currently.
Rah's is for people who like it when someone else drives their car for exactly five seconds but still moves the seat just a couple of inches without telling them so they're left with this awkward annoying sensation that something is pointlessly different for months but they're not sure what.
Advanced Mechanoid Warfare
Ze healing is not as rewarding as ze HURTING!
Rah's bionics was my go to bionics mod when the base game was lacking (and still is IMO). But with Royalty I don't see much reason to use any bionics mod since I keep my mod lists tight. If I do any bionics mod, it's probably FrozenSnowFox's stuff.
Can you review detailed combat extended and its associated modules (the n7huntsmen created ones, armory, gats, armor, melee etc )
already on the queue, he just needs to do more research
I used rsb and epoe with rympy as launcher and it works but CE make some bionics disappear when atackking or recieving damage
Never had that problem wirh EPOE, but something like that happened with integrated implants (i didn't notice when exactly the imolant disappeared, but there was a battle before, so that is likely)
22:08
announcer from theme hospital?!
MEEM!
Sir are obligated to cover Vanilla Factions Expanded Insectoids 2 Electric Boogaloo. 🙏
Is this mod compatible with integrated implants? I haven't found any information about it
@oSantanas I'd honestly say use one or the other, Rahs is buffing the efficiency of the base bionic limbs, Integrated will give the module system/extra arms with Athena framework. It'll likely get really out of hand crazy fast with both of them interacting.
@@MysteriousFawx good to know, thanks
MysteriousFawx Rah's Bionics and Surgery Expansion or EPOE-Forked: Expanded Prosthetics and Organ Engineering - Forked? Which is better
@deepthedeepmohammadi9623 both serve totally different purposes. It isn't about what is better, it's about what fits with your modding goal/run theme. Rahs is a lot more geared towards industrial and late game tech, it does very little for anything else. Whereas EPOE keeps early game more viable imo
@@MysteriousFawx thank you
@@MysteriousFawxnah, EPOE in late game goes wild. Very nice for turning chldren into killing machines, which is surprisingly fun for me. Probably because of MGR:R references.
steam doesn't let me install this for some strange reason...
@PsyckoSama Saw your comment on the workshop, make sure you're looking for RBSE, it's showing for me just fine in RimPy.
4:52 which tweak mod? that sounds great.
@the-letter_s At a guess I'd say it's buried somewhere in Tweaks Galore or FSF Tweaks, but it might also be one of those changes brought in with something else and not directly addressed via them? I remember it having a much greater impact on warden/trade work when it was a beauty reduction instead of a simple opinion debuff.
@@MysteriousFawx i'll have to check those out then, thank you.
I'm sooo early.
@michaelrichards5340 way earlier, don't you normally comment about 12 hours after release normally?!
@@MysteriousFawx yeah lool I'm usually headed to work when you drop and see it and get giddy, but I always watch when Im free to absorb the details. I really appreciate how you review mods with vanilla stats in mind, I've been playing far more vanilla now and realized that I've been using handholding mods, makes it easier for me to select mods now. I've been using this mod forever so I thought natural body parts needed to stay frozen was vanilla.
I'm about to build a ritual, darkness obsessed city builders in a cave on ice sheet max cold and rainfall because ice sheet is the best start 👀 might freeze to death, might make it to a geyser and build around in one day....lol
ANNND It's gone.
