  • Carl (#259) and I have been racing against each other for a long, long time. He's a great competitor and he had me covered in this moto...except for that lapper who inadvertently gave me a nice pick and I was able to sneak by Carl for the moto win. His 1-2 beat my 3-1. Just two old guys enjoying our passion and always a blast racing with him.

Great race Ernie! 975 is absolutely dangerous!!!!! crossing lines on the face of the step up is BULLSHIT!!!! Glad that he did not take you out!!! Again, great race.

Yeah, that was a close one. He did it the next lap too but I was able to change my line at the last second.

This was great to watch, reminded me so much of my few years racing. I entered my first race at 47.
I'm 61 now and still ride but these old knees, i can't hardly stand on the bike.
Literally my heart got going though watching this, thanks for posting.

    Great Ride Ernie 👍
You are a better man than I , you expect blocking (in corners) from certain people but the deliberate shit on the step up. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN PARKED EXTREMELY HARD 🤷‍♂️

That nonsense on the step up could have gotten both of us hurt. No idea why he did that. Went to talk to him after I loaded up but he was gone. Probably a good thing!!

@@erniekopasz5760 first, great race between you three. But... i dont see it as some of you. The 259 got tired in the mid race and 975 was catching him looking to pass at times. You were also catching the 975, I dont know about you but you should be racing forward. I dont think that was intentional on that big step up but he was definitely racing forward and looking for his opportuity to pass the 259. While I dont think thats the best thing to do on the biggest jump on the track, I believe he was not exactly knowing where you were at the moment. He took the same lines for most all his race, part of that means you should of learned where he was going to go and set him up for your pass on him. Just my 2 pennies, great race and glad you all stayed upright. p.s., good job keeping the roost off the camera :)

@@andysmith8295, Not completely sure why you think I wasn't racing forward. I caught them after they gapped me a bit in the first couple laps. You need to go back and watch the video again, he was middle to middle left on the step up until my front wheel was at his footpeg on his right side. Watch his video, you can see him turn right at the base of the jump and I don't buy in to your 'he didn't know you were there'. We all stayed in basically the same lines because many of the insides were so wet you couldn't take them. I'll give you your 2 pennies back. LOL Got lucky on the camera and roost, the previous week at GH you couldn't see a thing out of the camera!!

@@erniekopasz5760 i worded that poorly. I definately dont agree with anyone doing any cross jumping.. but the guy leading made a move from left to the right which made the 975 move over. the ol domino effect.

@@andysmith8295, I'm not sure what you are watching but watch again at 7:25 and at 9:25, the leader was all the way to the left. Are you his friend or something?

Good job Ernie! I was leaning and kicking that guy in 2nd place. Thought he was going to take you out a few times.
