  • A short video showing the initial switch-on of a Collins ART-13B transmitter coupled to a dynamotor power supply after checks and some component replacement and fabrication of a cable set. Excuse my ignorance, but I have never used one of the transmitters before... (it shows!)

    Great rig OM I used one in the 90s on AM when I lived in Steamboat Springs Coloado ran it on a variac controlled B+ supply and at times put 1800 on the plates it was a great rig ran about 250 out sometimes more lol and it just worked. Home-brew AC supply great audio etc. Have fun OM 73 de KE4EZ

      Thanks Jeff. I need to do some voltage checks and sniff around the HF oscillator and multiplier stages for signs of RF - somethings not right with this puppy...

    Hello I have a ART-13 and I believe the that internal switch that is associated with Control E is not working how do I get access to work on it?

      Hi Mike. I don't know - I do not have access to the ART-13 unit I was working on any more to check either (it belongs to a friend that lives some distance away) - I have taken a look at the photos I have but cannot even see the switch you are referring to. Sorry!
