Tibo and partner - TARA!!! Just wanted to say you two rocked the hell out of that song! When a dancer who GOES FOR IT, meets their kindred spirit on the dance floor- F-I-R-E- 4th of July fireworks and so much FUN! Her wit, her humor, her zest for life fills the room! His awesome talent and creativity just blew me away! Some seek perfection, and while I love precision dance moves, give me the emotion most of all! At the heart of dance is the expression of joyful abandonment and feeling alive! And yet, all of these dancers do this, with hundreds watching in person and thousands on line. They make their hair blow in the wind while they float on air and in that moment, it’s all just pure magic! Dance love to all these dancers. No guts, no glory! You got this!
That was so fun to watch! And no practicing just 1 dance ~ you have to know your dance partner & your moves well, cuz' no idea the song you'll get! Wow! Very talented dancers! I'm from L.A. & there is much more to express your creativity down there, starting in elementary school (about 3rd grade in 60's-70's), than is found in other schools, other places. Not just learning dance, rythmics, etc, but putting on shows, performing. Thought all schools did that, but family moved to SF area in 8th grade & it's just an L.A. thing. Was so bummed! Hollywood looking for new talent; I loved doing all that stuff ~ mother-daughter fashion shows (moms sewed it; girls modeled it in live show). Singing (solo). Baton. Folk dancing. Those streamers they dance with in Olympics. "Interpretive dance"....& Of course, we put on plays. I hadn't revisited any of that all these years, but had a great time watching this today! Awesome good dancers!
So they are paired with their partners usually pulled from a hat right before they dance (they usually show that part too, this one must have been decided prior to that), they often get to pick at least one style they want to dance to (fast/slow, jazz/pop/hip hop/new etc.) and aren't really given a choice if there is a second song. So it's more about knowing the rules and parameters of the dance style, and picking up the intricacies of the song with your partner. Of course they all know each other from competitions, and they have all danced together before, but they have no time to rehearse, and they rarely are paired with their actual regular dance partner, and when they are, you can usually tell, because some crazy tricks come into play and they pull them off.
@@super_siri ...Wow! Thanks so much for the added info! I can't gather enuff info just by observation & your reply was like a satisfying meal for my curious self. Thanks!😀
@@SnarkasticSunny but there are other competitions when they do a choreographed piece with their regular dance partner. If you look up Tatiana Mollman and Jordan Frisbee or Victoria Henk and Ben Morris or Emmeline and Jakob (I can't spell their last names but if you use wcs in the search you'll find it easily).
Really enjoy this presentation, the music selections were great, there have been times they play weird music that is not dancing music and I really do not like to watch that. Also the girls were dancing WCS and not trying to do some kind of ballet steps and extensions, it always seemed a distraction while the man would be dancing WCS steps. I know it was to be some kind interpretation, but it looked silly!!! Really enjoyed each couple!!! thank you
WCS has morphed into something I don't even recognize. Bring back old school, R&B. Forget this new age stuff. Not interesting or exciting to watch. Just gymnastics. WCS is the only dance that hasn't stayed true to it's essence. Lindy hop, Carolina Shag, Tango, etc. would never start changing their music to new age hip hop. IMO
Once one learns the WCS basics, the fun of West Coast Swing dance is to create new moves. Otherwise just stick with all the other dances you mentioned.
I loved every routine But I must say a couple of the ladies need to do something with that hair that whips across their partners face. Really distracting It can’t feel good🤷♀️💕
Dancing is a dance no matter who the dance n is with. I dance with my mom sister my best friend each time it means the world to me. It's not a Pro competition but it's love.
Why don’t yall ever show winners after watching so long?
I wanna know the same.
Ditto
😂❤@@christina5kids16grands

They've all been truly amazing
First time I found a championship vid. It was so fun to watch all the different couples and their personalities.
Jordan and Tori were my faves on this one ~~ I just happen to love this song and they rocked it 🤍
Jordan and Tori are sooo much fun to watch.
I love how all the couples talked with each other after they danced, also this was so fun to watch.
That was so much fun to watch. Each couple was amazing! Getting to see what happened in between dancing was such a treat!!!
Loved watching! WCS was my life until I shattered my knee cap. Now I'm just a spectator.
I'm so sorry. Knee pain is awful.
Yep! Fun, fun, fun and thanks!!
All wonderful stuff, but the dance to the brautiful blues song at 00:36 just blew me away, fantastic stuff! ❤
Absolutely electric! ⚡️ amazing dancers!!
Who was woman in the last couple dance? Never seen her before on swing. Loved her style.
Amazing!

It’s great fun! Not too blurry at all.
They are all good
Love this!!! Are there any WCS classes in the Valley? Would love to learn!
Could you post the winners please.
Liked the last one. She was very sassy loved it.
The two ladies were best ( I like the way you move)
I have a saying music is happiness for the soul

Tatiana is so unpredictable :)
Which is why she's so fun to watch.
who is the female leader at 28:40?
John lindo dancer 29:00 29:05
They don’t show winners but I’d say: Jordan, Máxime or Tatiana
❤❤❤
does anyone know if Jordan and his wife are still together? I hope so they are so beautiful together
Fun!
John lindo
I. Can't believe you would pick one over the other they are dancing well all of them! I know you have to pick but, I can not! They are good!

So many couples sleeping on The Temptations and Prince…
I loved every routine

Let's dance .too much talking
Wasting too much time with silliness.
Who won? I watched the whole thing and have no clue who won. That stinks. I wasted 48:00 minutes of life that I can't get back. THANKS
Just not the same charisma and effect watching 2 woman dance together..sorry. some really amazing dancing tho!!
Skipped watching the girl on girl but the rest was awesome
You have lesbians now ? I hope not !!!! 😮
wtf
Wow! Why is that, Elaine?
Just pop past it
You see 2 women dancing together and assume they’re lesbians? GTF out of here with that bigoted bullshit. It’s not welcome.
