So happy to see you happy Abigail. Been with you for 9 of the 10 years. Thanks for sharing your degree with us all. You've opened my mind to so much (including all the KJBond stuff, Trashfutures and related avenues)... Thank you for introducing me to "The [Your] People". xx
Definitely on the Buddhism thing, like therapy there are historical phases of discovery that Buddhism went through and it reaches a CBT phase in the Tibetan texts around 1000AD with the Lojong texts of Lagnri Tangpa et al. I'd love you to get to grips with Buddhist philosophy and theory of mind and its metaphysics. Nagarjuna is wild, and really not read in the west despite being better (or at least 1000 years before) Wittgenstein.
Regarding conclusions, perhaps instead of coming to a point, it would lend good narrative structure to recap the exploratory journey that the video took, which is something that I believe is done in your other videos
I definitely found the ending a bit abrupt - perhaps a ‘recap’ or informal summary. My bet is that this might not be your most successful video straight off, but it’ll have a long tail.
the fits were heartbreakingly lovely for this one, and absolutely tie into that unique creative vision, which is also kind of interesting in relation to stoicism (a firm stoic might say "the fashion shouldn't matter, only the content," and the romantic objection writes itself) I do kind of agree with Jack, it's been hard to quite put it into words but I think "abrupt" is what it is. I think "so what do you think" or "for further reading" or things like that can conclude the video while not being "a conclusion".
Didn't work for me 🤷 It's out-of-sync for me on playback, even after changing resolution. To get it to sync I had to open the stream in a third-party player and manually set up an A-V delay of 500ms
I've tried a bunch of different resolutions and I can't make it sync, I'm just pretending it's audio-only as I have with the last few stream play backs ;_;
In terms of how you assessed the stats, I def found the new video very interesting, and for me it also has more rewatch value (I've seen it twice now) than say, the one where you talked about emailing doctors about transition etc; cause for me that one was both brilliant & transformative for me, but also super emotionally harrowing and i had trouble getting through it cause i was so angry 😅 so that one isnt one i revisit. I wonder if others feel the same, not sure where that one fell in the stats but I hope it stil did well cause its very important.
I recently posted a video talking about trans people existing in Martial Arts, including up to a high level, in a Martial Arts subreddit, one of the mostyl nice ones, and it got removed because simply saying that was too political. I was really annoyed with what the mod said to me about it. Said it was not the place to inflate LGBTQIA+ issues, even though literally all the post was saying that they exist. Said that trans people post there which apparently means they are welcome, but not sure why he thinks they would feel comfortable continuing to post there when he removed a post saying they exist.
How dare you give British women such a high point on the Brit Attractiveness Scale which we know runs from Margaret Thatcher at zero to you, Abby at a perfect 10

Never said this on a video, but you cracked my egg for good, thank you for your work and I can't wait to see more
Came back to watch there last section I missed. Enbys do be interested too, btw.

What happens after the CBT phase.

What if we started calling it "the courtesy they?" An acknowledgement of uncertainty pending further information.
lol, the VOD is out of sync. Not my problem :P
Out of synch on recorded playback... so probably not a download issue with the viewers 🤷
It's synced for me 🤷 maybe try lowering the video quality on your end
Can confirm, pausing then changing the resolution settings does fix out-of-sync audio (or did for me at least).

For me like the first three minutes were awful and then suddenly it got way better? Weird

If i were a producer i would start a show called redacted, just to mess with actors/journalists who want to say a thing without saying it ;)

4.5 Billion years old is actually the age of the Earth, so maybe that's why you got mixed up?
Yeah the number sounded familiar and assumed that’s what she meant.

The audio being out of sync while she says “that’s your internet, that’s on your end, not mine” and watching it recorded and still out of sync 😭
You are deffo out of sync 😅 It's outta sync on the playback too. Kidnap a tech for a bit
To answer the misanthropy question I think Germaine Greer is one and a ruddy narcissist too.
