Crimson Queen is an absolutely beautiful song, and it’s a love song. And at that one part, Dany is saying “just” not “Dust”. @@Humbled_Mumbles Remember Alejandra on bass was 13 at this time, Paulina 15 and Daniella was 18 and this album was written by them and was totally independently produced with help from their many fans AKA The Warning Army. Oh and they are sister's from Monterrey Mexico.
Crimson Queen is a great song, and really shows off how amazing Dany is as a performer. Also love the great Harmonies!! Fooled you... no big heavy drop.. just emotion!! This is the main character wishing that her crush would notice her. "prickled fingers are just part, of the ways into the heart". The Mark's on her hands and neck are scratches... she was going to do red, but ended up doing black. BTW, she says JUST not Dust. Lyrics are in the description of the video.
Just a reminder what this album is about. I borrowed this from Rick S. on another comment. "It's tells a story, following a woman's mind as she progresses through obsession, longing, psychosis, murder and suicide. This was the first time they had performed the entire album. If you watch, you will see Dany play the parts of the woman as she goes through her journey of a love for someone that is not returned. The markings on her wrist and hands and down her neck are stage makeup for the scars. Great reaction. Look forward to more. You Have Been WARNED!!

That look at 10:05 says "Yeah I did that!" (wow I typed this before you got to that comment at the end lol) OMG to hear her sing this song live will nearly bring you to your knees. Her voice is so beautiful and full of power and emotion. This album is so dynamic. You are in for a roller coaster ride. I tell people there are songs worthy of Fleetwood Mac, Megadeth, The Ramones. Listen to the tone of her voice as it evolves with the Queen as she descends into madness. This song sets the tone and tells you she is obsessing over someone that doesn't love her back. (You'll get that reference soon).
At this point of the story, the Queen is expressing her longing for someone. She laments the fact that it seems to be a one way feeling. Hold onto your hat, because it gets much darker from here. Each song will change in both tempo, and style to reflect her state of mind.

That was awesome. Yes, please do watch/listen to the rest of this album in order. You can't go wrong with all of the performances on this show, but there are some other fine shows that can give you some visual variety. You may want to listen to these songs more than once to try and understand the concept of the story, because it is that much more enjoyable and draws you in if "get what's going on" I would even go as far as printing out the lyrics to each song. Love your reaction. About you inquire about the symbolism of the rose. The rose to me symbolizes the duality of being human; we are walking contradictions. Think of the petals as being the beauty of the human being. Our arts, our loves, our so called divinity as so may have written. Now for the thorns. This can represent the internal pain the we create for ourselves, our biases, our hates and fears, in other words the demonic. See the contradiction. It a constant battle each of us has to endure for a life time. FYI I am not religious in the slightest. I understand that aspect of human culture.
@@bradleyp3655 Work on that. Your 'own' phonetics system would be well served if it recognized the different consonant sounds between the 'd' in peddles and the 't' sound in petals. That's what phonetics is😀
All my life I have had difficulty spelling. from the day I started school in the late 60s. Yes have had tutors during that time. I just found it difficult even learning tp read and comprehend what I read was a very trying challenge.
