Love this song. This has to be my favorite song off of this album. David shows in this song how amazing his voice really is. In other songs he does not go full out with his voice to show what he can really do, but in this song he really goes all out and uses his true voice. I have seen this song live and it is amazing. Disturbed for life. David Michael Draiman best metal voice in metal history.!!

The symbol is a combination of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Wicca. The Christian cross, the Jewish Star of David, the Wiccan pagan star, and the Islamic crimson moon. It is a symbol of universal belief. For everyone saying that it forms a demon/devil head, no. They don't even recognize the existence if satan in the first place

Saw them with Avenged Sevenfold for the first time in Nottingham UK last month Mary. They were awesome. Only complaint was they were only on for 80 minutes, nowhere near long enough!

It makes sense coming from Disturbed. The different members of the band represent different faiths unified to spread a message in a way many are unable and unwilling to consider. They prove that regardless of faith, creed and/or personal opinion that we can still harmonize and create amazing things, as long as we're willing to accept each another for who we are. It's why they are still one of my utmost favorite bands.

The mere fact that at least four separate posts on religion on a metal video have the words "no hate intended" is kinda awesome. It'[s awesome to see that Disturbed for the most part attracts people who can display mutual respect.

Well, from where I'm sitting, it's pointing out the fact that, even if you are a faithful person, you still have to answer for your wrongdoings. From this standpoint, that line points the finger at the people who believe that just because they go to church on sundays, or whatever their faith does, they get a free ticket into Heaven.

•The meaning the artist had when he/she made the song.
•The meaning the listener gets from listening to the song.
So, there are many different ways a song can be interpreted. I don't really know what David had in mind when he made the song. But his opinion isn't the important one. You listen, and you decide. Please, enough with the arguing. You're all right. :D

It's pretty obvious what this is about. Having faith in a religion, or just being religious doesn't wipe away your wrongdoing. He also very clearly calls the faithful liars. Any miscommunication the fault of the listener.

Alright guys, I want to share something with you, because this honestly sounds pretty cool. On my computer, I have a Realtek Audio HD Manager that came with it, and, when I get bored I start messing with it. So, I was trying to make Disturbed sound better, which is honestly a fool errand, as they already sound so amazing it is unneeded. Well, as I was messing around, I noticed something under Sound Effects I hadn't before: The Karaoke Pitch Changer.
So, being myself, who is ever curious, turned it to the lowest setting, and went "This sounds utterly awful," but, after that, I changed it to the highest. And was delighted to find that it fit perfectly, and made it sound like this song was being sung by a girl, and, since this is David Draiman's voice, this girl sounds amazing. So, try it out if you can find your Audio Manager and figure out the settings, and tell me what you think. I am going to go try this with other songs, genres, bands, ext, ext. Good luck, and have fun messing with your audio, but, just remember, always set it back to your defaults when you finish!

The point of the album and they symbol is finding faith in anything, as long as you have it (thus all the different symbols). As a slight contrast, this song is criticizing people who simply believe that believing in God gives them free reign to do whatever they want because they expect to be forgiven later. "All your belief cannot absolve your sin," David is saying just saying you believe in Jesus/God/whatever doesn't make you good: you actually have to act like a good person as well.

They took the hiatus because they lost the inspiration they had and were on the verge of a burnout looking at Asylum it's clear that the music was starting to suffer a bit. Had there been no hiatus we may have had a group that would have begun to self destruct and that would not have been good for anyone. They saw a problem and decided to take a break from each other. They will be back just give them time.

Don't the lyrics say something like "Your belief cannot absolve your sin" I think it is meant to mock those that think they could get away with everything as long as they claim to be religious.
It's an amazing album cover. The whole idea behind it is to unify every major religion to make people see that we are all the same, but with different beliefs. I am not religios, nor do I believe in God, but I love David's idea behind this... quite amazing.
