Does efficiency is important factor for purchasing solar panel? *One hand, 1 KW panel with 15 percentage efficiency.. *Other hand, 1 KW panel with 22 percentage efficiency .. In this case does the power generation changes or size of the panel changes..? Please clarify my doubt..
Q. Given that a solar cell has V _OC =4.2V, I_SC=45mA, and FF=60% calculate efficiency. The light used during the measurement was AM1.5 and 1000 W/m^21000W/m 2 and the area of the cell is 50cm2. . A valid form of answer would be '3.96' or '0.0396'. PLEASE HELP ME. WHAT IS ITS ANSWWR
With due respect, I kindly request you to correct @ 2.15 mints. We can't call (instantaneous Power-kW/m2) as Insolation because Insolation is an accumulated energy of kWh/m2 ).
Many researchers define insolation units differently. Some have defined it as KWh/m2 and some others have used KW/m2. In all my lectures and also in my classes, I follow KW/m2 for insolation and KWh/m2 for irradiance. You may follow any nomenclature you feel comfortable as long as you are consistent.
Given that a solar cell has Voc =4,2V. Isc = 45mA, and FF= 60% calculate the efficiency. The light used during the measurement was AM1.5 and 1000W /m and the area of the cell is 50cm2
According Sandia National Laboratories: Irradiance is to power as insolation is to energy. But, as Prof. L. Umanand says, there's some confusion about the terms.
How come you calculate the output power of the module using the efficiency of a cell? Shouldn't the efficiency of the module be used? or, Am I missing something?
In this video, he calculated the cell efficiency, not module efficiency. All the parameters specified in datasheet can be used to calculate cell efficiency.
There is no doubt that I am big fan of you Prof. I have learned so much from you specially your course of Basic Electrical Engineering.
Sir I'm shocked that i have no doubt after watching this video 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Amazing. I was looking for exactly this content
Excellent lecture sir. Stay blessed.
