Thanks, all in all it took about 2hrs beginning to end with no knowledge of what i was doing to begin with.

Just a tip you can take the pads out of the caliper when attaching caliper to bracket, easier than taking the rotor off when swapping around IMO + you can check your pads :) Love the bike though, I've got a 2014 WR450SM :)
main reason i took the disc off was that i found loose nuts when checking the bolts before fitting.. this gave me a chance to lock tight each bolt before final assembly. you can see me adding lock tight as i tighten up the disc bolts in the clip.
i put the brake callipers on after the wheel is in place. makes the job much easier.
Took at least half hour to fit the front break

You installed your master link clip BACKWARDS. Very dangerous. Trust me...I did the same thing on my '14 WR450F and mine popped off and my chain broke my crank case, ending up as a $1600 mistake.

I'm guessing you had to crank the suspension all the way to stiffen the ride? Also, did this lower the front to an uncomfortable level, as you only went down 1or 2 inches in the rear, but 4 in the front?
What do you think about which is the best option? to pass to supermotard an XR 150 L or an XRE 300? ... that is a doubt that intersperses the budget but which would be a better option, besides this, this type of bike works well outside the asphalt with street tires? Are they safe in curves and at 120 km / h? im sorry about my english, spanish its better
80% of the footage was installing the front tire ?
Do you happen to have the links to the site where you purchased the rims/wheels/bracket? would I have to buy new rotors/chain and sprockets for this build?

Is the front brake enough considering you ride faster with the new ratio?
+Kayzox yes, with this model you actually need to replace the speedo as they don't have a mode to calibrate it with. With any change to your bike adjusting the ride setup is needed. I always recommend doing one change at a time so you can feel the difference each change makes to your ride setup. The brakes are better now then on the stock setup.
Is there a trick way to slap the rear wheel on because I've been fighting it for 2 hours because the rear caliper won't line up with the axel.
Helpful video.. one question: do you have to drop the front rotor out every time? I got the same rotor. Hoping this isnt the case
no. i found out if you remove the break pads it should fit. i am kinda glad i removed the rotor as it gave me a chance to add loctite to the threads.

Thank you. The wheel size is the biggest difference. Sm wheels are much smaller. As you may notice in the clip.
and what kind of sprockets you've got on? 13/46?
i just get a wr540f and wanted to buy road tyres but every where is look the back tyre looks to narrow what tyres did you use and do you think if it is too narrow would it still be good to use
just fast tip when going for bigger back tyre, make sure it fits between the swing arm and the chain is not rubbing. other than that i hope you find a nice one soon.
It looks like a 150 to me, you can squeeze a 160 on but probably would have to offset it which is a hassle.

That's a lot of work for something that would more than likely be more cost effective buying over the counter. You would need to true up the rim and have a spoke key to tune your spokes. I'm sure it can be done. There are many motard rim options out there already though.
@@dazthecowboy hey again!what do you mean true up the rim?i have found excel outer rims with like 400€ cause i cant find the complete set up for the crf 300l
@@konstantinoskourini it means to balance your wheel and adjust your spoke so your wheel has no wobble or slack. If done wrong the results can be catastrophic. If you have little understanding of how to true up a rim I would not suggest trying it on your daily rider. Practice with bicycle rims. You'll see how a couple twists can really put your rim out.
@@dazthecowboy i will not do it by myself.the guys at the shop will pair th oem hub with the custom rim exterior and spokes so hopefully they know what they afe doing

Hi is the break thing necessary to use the smaller wheels and tires? I would assume yes but this is something I did not consider.
I ask because Im looking at a decent deal on FB 15 yz450f that has both street wheels and offroad wheels and Im trying to calculate how much more money and work to get it steet legal, hes asking 3500 I believe he said he has the lighting kit probably headlight only, So ik i need mirrors blinkers brake lights tag and registration which I plan on using the Dirtlegal online service for, can you please list the others that id 100% need to get this baby street legal? No. Completely different setups.
What have you done with the speedometer? Is it still the stock one or did you change it?
At the moment i'm using a GPS speedo. i will change over the speedo eventually. i looked around for dash mods. but there where none that i found would work for this model. i was even told by Yamaha that you can't adjust the dash for this model.
Hey mate iv just done the swap on my 2014 wr450 and was wondering how you got the speedo to fit the front mine sits tight to the rim but the axle won’t go far enough through to put the nut on the other side?

The tyre is a different size to the off road rim. Brakes are better than off road brakes. But if you can find a tyre to fit your current time. Go for it. No reason not too.

You're only missing the (very important) suspension setup part, which takes a lot of time, or costs money to get done.

the same as most motorcycle maintenance. just with less washing.
I tried this yesterday's morning , and was expecting 5 min the latest to complete, but it took me until evening to finish it.

james sweeney for this setup i got the top of the line gear that was offered. i got a little change from $3000AUD. The front brake it ridiculously awesome.

yup at 3:37 glad i was not alone to see that + i hope he used locktide on those nuts for his front caliper + brakedisc at 0:55 + he should safety wire it too but don't think he did :-(

Did you get sprocket compensation on the rear wheel ?
do you mean a cush-drive rear sprocket? if so, i did. it does take a bit of the power out of the bike. but if you do a lot of road riding it will save your gearbox in the long run.

lejejzerman you can get it in the package if you get your wheels through a good retailer. my retailer is in Australia and i had them shipped to me. they should ask you if you want cush-drive or direct drive.
i paid for the best wheels and rims available to me at the time. i thought if I'm doing it i should make it worth doing.
what gearing(if I wrote it right :P ) do you use ?
KuBuSgamer standard sprocket at the front 43T at the rear. I live next to highways so i wanted a better top end. bike tops out at about 164kph

What do you mean? The brake rotor at the front is a 320mm moto master rotor, when they are wavey they are called a wave rotor and MotoMaster I think calls theirs a flame rotor. he is running sm pro platinum 17" rims, gonna guess with a 4.25" rear width.

How much does the conversation cost? Planing on buying one and make it a supermoto
it depends on how much you want to spend. you can get a second hand kit for a couple hundred or spend a couple thousand on top of the line. shop around. take your time and go with what best suits your budget.
btw how tall are u? Because i am 170cm or 5.7 and i dont know if i fit on a supermoto
your height will make no difference. if you can ride you'll be fine. a supermoto usually sits lower than your standard motocross bike anyway.
