    Hi Ryan. Great video. We were there about the same time. (It was incredibly hot for June. No snow aywhere)
    So many people have said at Seceda, that the camera does not do justice to the actual view. That is SO true.
    And, St Jakob. If you think that trail is hard going up, try doing it the other way, thru the village!

    • @RyanPelle
      @RyanPelle  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Johnny. Much appreciated. Was talking to the owner of the hotel I was staying at, and he was saying the same thing. Was unusually hot for June. The funny thing was, the day after, it snowed!!!! Lol!
      Agreed, Seceda (and Dolomites in general) is one of those places that no matter how many times you’ve seen them on films they turn out better in person. The opposite of Paris syndrome! :)
      I can’t imagine that there’s an even harder trail to St Jakob’s church 😂 thank goodness I didn’t go that way!
      Hope you enjoyed your Dolomites trip regardless. It’s now one of my favourite places on earth.

    Hi Ryan. Such a beautiful video. You’re so genuine! We were in Bolzano last December and did Merano, Ortisei, Soprabolzano, and stayed at Bolzano as a home base. We visited all by local bus, cable cars, and trains. We had a magical Christmas. We are returning in July and planning to do some hiking. Can we reach both Alpe di Suisi and Seceda from Ortisei? Thanks. I Subscribed! 😊

    • @RyanPelle

    Hi, Ryan, thank you for your video, so good!. Please give me some advice if I stay in the hotel in town (cheaper rate) and then drive or catch cable car to the peak, is it a good idea? Which city should I stay in order to enjoy the different points in Dolomites. Besides, Can I bring my own bike when taking the cable car up to the peak? Thank you!

    • @RyanPelle
      @RyanPelle  5 месяцев назад

      Hello - If you don't have a car (like when I was there), I would suggest staying in Ortisie as loads of beautiful hikes can be accessed from there. The cable car stations are walking distance from the Ortisie town centre so you shouldn't need to drive. I saw people with their bikes on the cable car so that shouldn't be an issue. Enjoy the Dolomites :)

    Planning to visit Alpe Di Suis, Val de Funes and Seceda in May.. Are the trails open?
    Is there a place I can check for all open trails?

    • @RyanPelle
      @RyanPelle  8 месяцев назад

      Not sure if all the trails are open as there might still be snow up in the mountains. I suggest checking the public webcams. They are dotted around the mountains and you can just Google them and see if the trails are passable. Also, some of the cable cars might also not be opened yet so double check that as well. Not sure if there’s a site that lists all the trails situation at least not that I found when researching for this hike.
