How to Clone Your OS Hard Drive for Free Using Rescuezilla

- If you have a failing system \ Windows drive and want to duplicate it to a new drive before it fails, you can easily clone it using the free Rescuezilla software. All you need to do is download the ISO file and burn it to a flash drive or CD and boot your computer to it. Then you will be able to copy your C drive or other drive to a different drive that you have attached to your computer. The software also has a disk imaging feature if you want to make backup images of your computer.

Nice to see that clonezilla now called rescuezilla is easier to use with a nice graphical interface.
Rescuezilla has that built into the iso with GParted.
Can you clone a DVR HDD with this application?
If you clone an old SSD from an AMD laptop to a new SSD from an INTEL laptop, is that possible?
Yes, that will work fine. The only potential issues with cloning drives and using the drive with different hardware is that Windows (or any OS) might complain and you may have to reconfigure some drivers or worst case scenario Windows will not be happy and not run correctly.

Just to clarify, Rescuezilla creates a clone image of Drive c. This is an ISO file?
What does Rufus do?
Rescuezilla makes a clone of the C drive which will look exactly like the original C drive. Rufus takes the Rescuezilla ISO file you download and makes a bootable flash drive out of it so you can boot your computer with it.
