after watching this amazing movie I came to the said realization that the academy awards is not about the best movie of the year BUT THE best of the American movie because for sure, the intouchables should have own the best picture, and the best actor because they were excellent for that year in 2011.
Even in America most of us don't agree with the movies they select. I haven't watch it in over 20 years. Too political and nothing but a evening for the " oligarchs " to amuse themselves. Most of us here can't stand the Oscar's or Grammies. Your not alone.
@@str8kronic What 😳 they will make an American version of these beautiful film... they'll going to ruined this masterpiece... these is masterfully done, no need to remake a new versio...God forbids...😩😩😩
what a beautiful story this was! I just saw the movie, but when I realized it was based on a true story I was mesmerized.. so happy when things go well in the end :)
I think that when she asked him what did he think about seeing people laughing at his pain. What a horrible question. People aren't laughing at him they laugh and smile due to their relationship. How he was being silly with a friend. People would laugh just the same if they saw any other 2 people being silly and showing a true friendship between them
This video appears to be filmed at a Conference for people who are disabled, and who are Care Givers, and it is connected to Het Dorp, a community in Holland established especially for disabled people. I feel privileged to be able to observe their interactions, and comments. The point of the interview is not to discuss the movie per se, but to exchange experiences and ideas with other people who are living with various disabilities in an open, forthright manner in a safe environment. I think it was very well done, the questions asked were relevant, and Philippe is an amazing, courageous man with a great sense of humour. An inspiration to us all!
I could relate so much to this film, when my stepfather was diagnosed with AlS, as a family we tried to make his time on earth special. We laughed, we cried and we tried to have the best time ever. I learned just because someone can't use there body doesn't mean they can't feel or express anything that any person can feel. I have learned so much from him and watching this film reminded of the laughs we had together and the love that shines through any situation.
I know its neva late to comment about this extraordinary guys! Intouchables is an Outstanding Movie.Salute to Abdels honesty and generosity and phillipes Nature❤🥂
I would so love to meet Philippe! I work with brain injured young men who face the same challenges every day and whose frustration with their carers often results in anger and violence. In the work place, there is not enough fun - it seems that there isn't time to be silly and everything is rushed because of the 'system' - very sad - but true in the institutional environment. I loved this movie! It shows how a person with disabilities wants to be treated in the same way as anyone else which again is true, certainly with the people I work with.
this person is amazing!!! I absolutely admire his personality and totally understand why they made a movie about him! one of the best movies in history!
I was amazed when I saw this movie...Its always wonderful to know that such (honest, wise and extra-ordinary) people still exist in this fast, professional and highly tech world...And about the movie is good with very good actors....really loved it!
I have watched The Intouchables & just finished The Upside, I have to find out the real person, and hence it brings me to this video. I just want to say, Sir, you are a remarkable person. Truly inspiring.💖 But the interviewer. 😑 And what’s wrong with the the guy who hastily ends with such a question?!👊🏼🤬
What a wonderful film. Made me laughed which is hard to do and made me feel there are compassionate people with money. Glad he remarried. He deserved it.
watched this movie last night with my man-friend who is paralyzed from the waist down and we speak english and had no idea what was being said but throughly enjoyed the movie but we wish it would have had english subtitles so we could understand what they were saying. it was a wonderful movie.
I thought the questions the first woman interviewing Philippe were cringe-worthy and inappropriate - until I heard the guy interviewing him at the end!
Intouchables good movie. From Turkey hello.
I've listened to the book. Now I need to get access to the movie! A;; tjpse nights in a Clinitron, listening to nothing but the heavy drone of the blower, It's sometimes quite hard, but you deal with it! You learn to cope. I know from experience! It's hard, but Smiling is the BEST medicine! Smiling, and Laughter! Because it could ALWAYS be worse! At least you have the ability to know that you're in an Air Fluidized bed. You have your hearing, and you can hear the blower. At least you know that you are ALIVE!
People not liking the interviewer - It was rather better to have that interviewer who asked those tough & direct ( for Philippe) questions , most probably because of lack of command on language and got some inspiring words out of the great man otherwise the same interview by a diplomatic and well versed interviewer would have been utterly rhetoric and boring. Moreover Philippe had no problem answering her questions because as shown in movie he preferred those direct people. Some of posters have shown here that they still did not get Phillippe's message from his life and his choices..
Philippe is such an awesome human being with such a courage, but i would like to know if instead spending all these money in living luxurious, has he ever done anything to help other people like him, who haven't the money? he should be sensitive to these matters
He does do a lot of charity donations to the crippled and the incapable, in fact this speech is at a hospital I think in Holland for the incapable and crippled.
The interviewer's question seem insensitive because English is not her first language also her own child is disabled so she is more close to understanding his situation than any of us
Many caregivers do not care, and that is the problem. If you do not like your job nor do you understand why it's important, you will never be good at it. After hiring 10 people to take care of my grandma, the best one was a woman who never studied but had a big heart.
Soy de México apenas supe de esta entrevista, no se en que año fue pero ojalá tengan éxitos, paz y una vida plena llena de amor. Admirable ...Vengan a México, hagan redes sociales para Inspirar a más personas. Abrazos
13:34 - Awkward question? Sheesh! He makes the best out of life he has been dealt, but think anyone would prefer not to have to learn to live with such troubles to get life lessons. I think he would have wanted to not have his wife die of cancer and end up paralyzed in a wheelchair. I think the interviewer would have preferred her son to be healthy and also laughing. If stuck with such situations, then good they have managed to make best of things and live life as full as possible. But... let's not attempt to force them to say it is a good thing it happened.
Yea he was fishing for cliche phrases, with the biggest fish net ever. I love the way Philippe answers, he doesn't answer with a yes or no. He just describes how it is different from his first life. The interviewer should've asked it as an open question. It would make him look less like he's fishing for cliches, it would look like he cares about Philippe's inner world. But he didn't :P
It was an amazing inspirational movie. Enjoyed a lot with how comical it was
