  • Here I attempt to put a Puig Windscreen on my Honda SH350i. I finally get there with a little fettling so I thought I would share it with you guys and maybe someone will find it useful. The whole process took less than 30 mins from start to finish. When riding the bike it does a great job of reducing the wind.
    This screen does years 2020 , 2021, 2022 and 2023. It fits the 125, 150 & 350 models of the SH range. I fitted one to a 2019 SH125i model which was the same process but the screen was a slightly different shape due to the headlight position.

    Nice video, i like that you haven't edited out any of the awkward moments trying to get the screen on, makes it much better to see what we will be dealing with ourselves when we come to fit it.

    I prefer these little screens. The big, tall screen that Honda supply, I find too big and difficult to see through at night when it's raining. These little screens look quite cool.

      I agree the small screens look much better. With the handguards fitted you need no more protection. Thanks for watching.

    Thank you for your video. I installed the Puig Traffic Screen, but found it increased helmet wind noise for a 5'9" rider. I've ordered a deflector screen to try to eliminate this.

      Glad to be of help. I find every screen introduces noise. Some more than others. Best you can hope to do is balance the wind protection with the noise it creates. I hope your wind deflector helps. I found it did on my Honda Varadero 1000. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

      No! After delvery delays, I cancelled the order. I took the Puig screen off, and think its better without.
      You get a little wind pressure on the chest at speed, but little wind noise on the helmet.

    Hi Gary Hope your ok. They are great little scooters, can i troube you to send me the link for the screen. Best regards Ady

    • @GaryGSF
      @GaryGSF  Год назад +1

      I'm not sure if I can post a link directly but it was purchased from a company in the UK called moto planet. I can assure you that it is a great screen. Just be careful that the brackets that attach to the mirrors face backwards rather than forwards. If the face forward the screen will tilt backward in the wind which doesn't happen when the bracket faces towards the rider. I hope this helps.

    How was it with wind deflection and buffeting? Did you have to adjust the angle much?

    • @GaryGSF
      @GaryGSF  6 дней назад

      The screen takes most of the wind away. You still get some wind to your face but it is clean air without any buffeting. For me I got the angle just right first time and did not have to adjust. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    • @GaryGSF
      @GaryGSF  Год назад +2

      There always is more noise with a screen although it isn't too bad. So the answer is yes. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.

      @@GaryGSFthank you for answering. So I was asking before, because I felt that after installation of the same shield, at similar angle as in video, it felt way too loud, than I had with screens on other motorcycles.
      I adjusted the screen, so it would be at the same angle as forks or more in horizontal direction.
      Now, the noise is not so loud, there is no vacuum that pulled me forward and the wind protection works great.

    Does the screen affect top speed or does it cause drag at all? Thanks

    • @GaryGSF
      @GaryGSF  Год назад +3

      It seems to have no affect on speed or cause any additional drag. I also had the screen on a 2019 SH125 and it actually seemed to cause less drag and increased the top speed. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

      On this SH350i I saw no noticeable difference but when I fitted one to an SH125i I had a few years ago the top speed increased a little. I would think I does help it a little.
