Yes.."very nice . brings back memories." Cedric, You said a true fact...Made me think of all the concerts I drove my father too years pass...He had the ear for the music...
The 'Lonely Island' is not well known but is one of my favourite male vocal pieces. Too bad it has not been made more popular by radio stations and other broadcast media. The CD version done in a recording studio is even better. A great piece from the Rankin Family.
According to the introduction this concert took place about two decades after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. I had absolutely no idea that technology was so advanced in the 11th Century!
They were real troopers. Despite all of the feedback and squeals from the sound system they just kept on singing perfectly.
the human brain omits that unless someone says something eh?
Rest Well Raylene🙏💕
Love them since day one.
God bless you Raylene

I'd love to see Ryan Rozicki use Lonely Island as his entrance song when Cape Breton is on the world stage in October
This reminds me of their sound when Rankin recording were mostly found on cassette in gift shops around NS. I know - I have some of them.
Awwwwwwwwwwww the memories!! I can smell the gift shops now!!

RIP Raylene ..
I am sad that I didn't listen to them in their haydays😢
Was this Big Pond? Broad Cove? Archie over at the announcer table? I wish whoever was on sound dropped the monitors just a hair.
I would say Broad Cove because of Archie Neil. Although it could be Glendale, I suppose.
Sleep well Raylene.
