As you requested at 11:20 Brez is saying: “So here, there' is the * button name *, ohh no, it's not there.", from my perspective I believe this message is said in a friendly way of saying hes cheating. The reason why he said this is because Rythmind was using a unreleased loopstation at this time with this extra button at GBB which seems to be annoying Brez a lot (totally understandable on my point of view) because using this button could produce patterns that are impossible to reproduce by any loopers since Rythmind was the only one having this.

I was there, it was my first GBB. I found Brez crying after loosing, he was destroyed, rythmind did really good but for me the acdc song got destroyed at the end, for me brez was better, and the sound was amazing
Its amazing but imo they should give lower point since its a cover and he was using newer machine that allow them to make it easier, i found it abit weird that a world class competition like GBB didnt have rules for this.
@@hhh43016tbf the lyrics in Brez’s first round are a cover aswell so that kinda evens out for me, I’m just gutted that these two met in the first round cos they’re both so sick 😩😂

By the by, when Rythmind said "You have to win something once in your life", it wasn't a well thought out burn. Brez has won multiple competitions in other settings, some of them quite prominent. Still, none of those included early access to a Mk2, whereas Rythmind did win one with access to that machine, hence its presence in this battle.

Rythmind got it from judging KBB(kickback battle) every participant, and judge got a prototype, before official release and the KBB was right before gbb, so there was no other ways to get it. Robin, Frosty, Kba, M-age also had the mk2 in gbb, and inkie and Saro also had it from judging the KBB, but they were judges at gbb. But yeah Brez has won France Championship and a quite big tournament called multiverse battle, so the diss is not as hard hitting when you think about it, but it doesnt really matter because in the moment it hyped everybody up 😂

The thing was , that most people didnt get the mk2 for GBB except for a few people like rythmind. The mk2 has something like a sequenzer(and more) that the mk1 doesnt have , so Rythmind got a advantage over Brez when it comes to the loopstation. Thats what i know atleast
Exactly the mk2 is like having the mk1 + a second device.
The Mk2 controversy also gets worse from there since apparently the Mk2 was a pain in the ass to use since several features were broken and/or changed from the Mk1's version of those same features. Brez put out a video comparing the Mk1 with the Mk2 and found that while the Mk2 was the more capable machine it just had so many issues that he felt the Mk1 was the better and more reliable machine at the time. That was a little while ago, though, so the issues may have been fixed.
22:04 he is Zede. On of the legends in solo but i dont see him as a loop judge specially in these years that looping has been evolving so much
I can't remember if you left before the whole MK1 vs MK2 war started, but Brez impressed me the most with his skills on the vanilla loopstation.

Rythmind did use the MK 2 which was waaaay better than old MK 1 that Brez was using. Thats why rytmind could make those amazing sounds in seconds while it would take Brez a lot longer to do so. In my opinion it kinda isnt fair to do that cus one has the advantage over the other and plus Rythmind is an amazing looper so it adds to it as well. To me Brez was the winner in this one

Rythminds second round as fascinating as the drop was it had so many flaws and mistakes(and his 1st round as well) and both rouds from Brez were almost perfect with smallest mistakes here amd there. Plus Rythmind had an advantage cus of MKII and could get to the drop faster but he still didnt outpreform Brez

11:20 I'm not French so I'm just parroting what I read on the original video, but apparently he said something like "I don't have a sequencer, but it's no problem." As Beatboxingisnice8736 pointed out, the Mk2 loopstation came with a sequencer built in whereas the Mk1 didn't. Rythmind was using the Mk2 in this battle whereas Brez was still using the Mk1, which is why Brez said what he said.
He said about OSC Bot or something like that... Not about sequencer....

@@BecomeaproBCP Yeah he posted on his channel, digestive issues. He said if he does attend the next GBB (Grand Beatbox Battle) competition he will be very skinny but for everyone to know he's doing the best he can so not to worry.
