  • It's time to get going on the Four Against Darkness solo fantasy dungeon delve campaign. I've got four characters -- a barbarian, a cleric, a rogue, and a wizard - who are entering a deep dark dungeon called The Screaming Halls of the Ancient Travelers... what will they find? Will they make it out alive? Stay tuned as the adventure unfolds...

Great video! One additional point of clarification: when rolling defense, you have to BEAT their level to prevent the hit. So it is different from the way attacks work.

Great video! I always like to watch what other people do while playing one of my favorite games. This has probably hit my table the most out of all the games in my collection.
Here are a few things you missed:
    1. On the rogue, he only gets the attack bonus on outnumbered minions (vermin count as minions too).
    2. The rogue could have disarmed that dart trap if he was leading your party. Rogues are pretty durable once you've leveled them up once or twice. What they lack in tankiness, they make up for in dodging attacks.
    3. There are no treasure rolls for wandering monsters. You did get the level up right though! It is a good strategy to level up the wizard/elf first to get that new spell, so good job there.
I'm sure you already ironed out some of these in future videos but, for the sake of new people looking at this video that have never played, I wanted to point out a few things. Otherwise, great job!

Yeah, I got most of this figured out in later sessions, but never hurts to post here for new players!

If you wait to see the enemies reaction, they get to attack first

This in greet thanks ....old grognard house rule from the days of ADD (the Gygax Appendixes ) when truncating a room in to a grid and this room interacts with a corridor or door in another room...treat as a concealed one-way door out of the new room only...

Is there a spot where we can find all official updates to the rules, such as this?
I've heard many times that there will be a 2nd edition, but I have never heard when it may be coming out.

Thank you for making this! I'm slowly wrapping my head around this game, and your demo was clear and well explained. The mistakes didn't bother me, since you corrected them in the text. I will be watching all of the ones in this series, and I'll probably go right back and watch them again when I finish!

Glad you like them. I do make mistakes, but I don't let that get in the way of just having fun. Rules Shmules.

Does the room structure/size affect traps and monsters? Or is it just for aesthetics?
