    Hello, Dug and the audience. I have a strange question, I'm not a chemistry expert.
    Is it possible to use nitroglycerin in drone ammunition?
    How to implement it, the ammunition already contains glycerin, before the drone takes off, nitrate is added to the ammunition.
    During the drone's flight, the mixture mixes and nitroglycerin is obtained.
    The advantages of such a mixture are cheapness, simplicity and the absence of a detonator.
    In your opinion, does this make sense or is it nonsense?

    • @John-ir2zf
      @John-ir2zf 8 дней назад +4

      Very "grey" area there......
      Spend a month or 3 reading everything about the atf regulations on manufacture and usage of energetic compositions.
      Main takeaway is, making and using immediately for research or educational purposes "probably" won't land you in prison. As long as it's not incorporated in to a NFA destructive device
      Storage and/or transportation or making NFA items is where the goon squad will bring the hammer down on to you.
      Make small quantities and DO NOT use them in malicious ways and you "probably" won't draw unwanted attention to yourself....

    • @GSAZYNSKI
      @GSAZYNSKI 7 дней назад

      @@John-ir2zfthis also applies to tannerite. If you mix it, you must have an explosives permit or license to transport, and the storage regulations apply.

As for Germany, we have masses of chemicals in terms of explosives hidden in the ground and in the seawaters- thanks to WW2. I wonder the risks and environmental impact of those. That should work. That potassium or sodium ion is generally just a spectator ion. It doesn’t really participate in the reaction. In the end it gets converted to the corresponding chloride salt when the nitrite reacts to form HNO2.
