Very sobering videos that showing how we mere humans have no control over the forces of nature when unleashed with the amount of Violence that some of the past Volcanoes have. Add to that Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Floods and many other natural events, life hangs in the balances of chance.
You exactly right ✅ We can put as much energy as we want to For climate change, Only one Volcano can destroy that in a year or two.. -That's planet Earth 🌏
Excellent historic information and mostly great scientific information, but... Carbon dioxide DOES NOT cause premature death of humans. I won't comment on whether or not it is actually a pollutant, but there should be not dispute about that!
Complicated fifth grade science-stuff, I know, but carbon dioxide is obviously not "pollution". It is fertilizer. Anyone who has made it through fifth grade should know that. Or indeed anyone who has ever grown a plant. More CO2/ash = better growth/yield. This is why greenhouses all over the world pump in CO2 for their plants. It is rather hard to take people seriously who keep lying to people about simple things like this. Three things on earth can not possibly be categorized as "pollution": nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide. That is consequently what you should be telling people. Not adding fuel to the nonsense fire of "global warmage" out of cowardice, malice or ignorance.
A radius is a term that describes a line from the center of a circle to the perimeter of a circle, and 1,000 kilometers is approximately 621 miles. So, the narrator is saying with the volcano as the center of the circle, anyone within 612 miles of the center would not survive during this particular eruption. I hope I explained things in a way that makes sense :)
Climate change can't be entirely attributed to human activities e.g look at the path the earth takes in relation to our solar systems which must also obey other laws. However, to some extent yes, but our individual life spans are so short to notice the difference in the gradual change in order to craft effective responses.
A millionth of the quarter of the circunference of the Earth = 1 meter. Circumference of the Earth = 40,000 km But now, the definition as change for something more precise and related to the speed of light. Don't ask me to Explain the definition of a meter 2.0 please 🙏 🙂
will we see another major eruption soon something like Krakatoa ? in 1883 killed 36.000 people and that was only because the population was very scattered and sparse if that volcano eru[pted to day the dead would be more like 12 or 15 million and i might be underestimating by another 10 million
In another documentary Krakatoa also exploded in 536 AD... Coincidence? Both exploding close in time? I think it is more likely that if Krakatoa bursted in 536 (too) is responsible for the plague in Constantinopel...
You have the wrong rat type the bushy tail woodland rat carried the plague during this problem. It grows in the soil as it affects everything and everyone contaminating life. The process of this can happen again and the loss of life is likely.
I wouldn't complain If the Earths innards weren't made up of molten rock and we had no volcanoes there would be no life on on this planet. We all cant have our cake and eat it.

That’s for sure! Well said!

Fantastic Science Documentary about Eruption of Volcanoes in past & Nowadays ...Thanks Get . factual Channel for Sharing
a super production. very enjoyable to watch. high silicate content makes dangerous volcanic eruptions. thanks for sharing this gold.
Best channel.
uff just what i needed before bed thank you !!
Sweet dreams 😂
the volacano fume looked like marijunana
What volcano is throwing up lunch at 9:27 ? Gorgeous!

Fascinating video. I do have a question, though. How and why do glaciers form on the lava dome after eruption?
Because of the high altitude.
I been on many volcanoes and up on the summit it's darn cold in the winters.
@@philswede Thank you. The only volcano I've ever been on was El Baru in Panama. Kind of not cold there. lol
@@CZPanthyr El Baru is 3 474 m high, i think it's kind of free of glaciers judging on its location.
:)
@@philswede Yeah. I lived in Panama for 18 years and never saw snow. Lol
@@CZPanthyr i live in Sweden and see snow every year so i go to my house on Teneriffa Island every November so i get some extra sun.
How old is this? The eruption in Iceland, the Bardarbunga he was talking about was years ago.

you sir understand things indeed at a 5th grade level. Bravo
18:21 what does “a radius of 1,000 square kilometers” mean?

Damn! That volcano be spittin out some dank-ass buds! (The thumbnail looks like a nice piece of marijuana, at first glance. 😉)
The name of the track with a guitar on 23.03, please!
16:37 oh hi 👋
I chose this video to learn. But it is all in feet and Fahrenheit
An impossible hurdle
Debris can't be traced? The magma chemical content & cooling rate can be traced via gemstones.
Now if we could just get the volcanoes to discharge AC/DC volts we could all get back to living in "Candy Land""
The person who wrote "100square mile radius" deserves special treatment.
What's a Meter?
1 meter= 3.2ft😊

I'd look for carbon traces by digging 6ft. in the volcano most traces could be found on the top of the mountain.
