    I've heard the term "spouse killer" and I was thinking of getting o e of these for my 5ft tall 115lbs wife to ride, currently shes on a 03 xr100 and doing awesome on it, she has 4 months experience on a dirtbike but 15 years on ATV's, should I consider the 250 freeride for my wife or get a new ttr125L or klx140 L

      Thinking the same for my wife. She's had a KLX140L for a few years now, but I think she's ready to step up to a 2 stroke Enduro bike. She's 5'8" though, so that should help.

    Hi, I have a Ktm 250r freeride and the tank is broke, you know where I can find one ? It’s a little hard to find parts for this bike :/

  • @MariaFife
    @MariaFife 8 лет назад +1

    Is there a work-around for the small tank? Seems like a good "next bike" for me but we like to do 60-80 miles a day. My friend says it gets only about 45 miles before the reserve tank is needed. I can pack extra fuel but was wondering if there were any other options for this bike?

      Maria Fife you don't want this bike.

      Jd Dean I have it now and love it. You're gonna have to give reasons why a person. Should or shouldn't do something when giving advice.

    They were NOT Europe only machines...they also sold them in Africa back in 2012. In South Africa, EVERYBODY rides a KTM. I think my town must be KTM largest market outside of Europe :D

    i like everything about it except maybe the low seat height, im kinda to big for it, but 1.9 gallon tank?...i dont want to die in the dessert so once again 2stroke is off the list

    I wish they would bring the 250f or 350f to the U.S. and make it street legal like in Europe. I'd trade my 2016 350 excf for it.

  • @stressed4life

      mike davern not out of the box but they have included a few handy built in controls on the bars so you could easily wire it to be street legal :D

    Funny how all the truly innovative off road motorcycles come from Europe, this is a major reversal from the Japanese manufacturers dominance of the late 70's thru early 2000's. will Kawasaki end up like Bultaco, or Suzuki become a 21'st century Maico.

    Your review was labelled BULL*HIT the moment you said this bike was built for an experienced ride and "a novice"???

    • @advkat0117
      @advkat0117 9 лет назад

      have you rode this bike?? I do agree...I think it would be scary for a novice to ride...

    • @ZombieZim713
      @ZombieZim713 9 лет назад +1

      +Kathy Doan How would it be scary? It's a light bike and doesn't make a ton of power.

    • @advkat0117
      @advkat0117 9 лет назад

      +Jason S (Jay) +Jason S (Jay) Have you ride the Freeride? the throttle response is so short... and it's so light....if a novice cranked it and hit a jump the wrong way and it made them crank back on the throttle again...it's gone. It has a ton of torque so it can be a bit feisty for a novice IMO. For a novice...someone with little to no experience is who I am talking about... just my opinion.

    • @MariaFife
      @MariaFife 8 лет назад +3

      I'm pretty novice (riding 2 years, Freeride is my first 2-stroke) and I love it. my husband and his buddies love it, too. They've been riding as long as I've been alive.

    KTM Freeride 250r vs KTM 150

  • @samuelJaquerod
    @samuelJaquerod 8 лет назад

    A funny motorcycle but the quality is hopeless. It is the most fragile motorcycle of the world. A financial abyss. Do not buy it, it is the flight on behalf of the mark which lost any sense of the ethics.

    • @TonyRidesDirtbikes
      @TonyRidesDirtbikes 6 лет назад +1

      @Matt Scherer I've ridden one, I own the 350, the only thing that has costed be money due to it being too fragile was the rear brake setup. It's not like the EXC setup. The rear brake has had a ton of wear very quickly and has movement from side to side, even touching the clutch case. It's still completely usable but it's going to cost around 240$ AUD to get the whole brake fixed when it is completely cooked. Otherwise that is the only thing. A lot of the parts on the bike is a combination of the EXCF 350 and the SX 85. They are both decent bikes so there isn't too much to go wrong in my opinion. I have 5600k's on my bike. I have vids on my channel to see how it rides.

      @@TonyRidesDirtbikes Yep the main issue is people over-riding the bike. It is not even remotely a high-speed machine. All complaints of brake fade and useless suspension are pretty much moot when ridden nearer trials speeds. Realistically it feels like a direct descendent of an old twin shock trials bike. Back when trials bikes came with lights, a minimalist seat, and semi-reasonable ergonomics. They made acceptable trail bikes, but were trials focused, much like the 250r.
