This song just fits Luz to a tee because she tries to help others in the Boiling Isles at the expense of herself. Showing Lilith with the poster and Hunter falling with "I've been so good this year" was pure genius. The "I don't want to say goodbye" with King and Luz in King's Tide hurt so bad! That ending especially hurt with Luz so broken and traumatized after the Season 2 finale! This is an amazing edit! Love it!❤️
YES! I second all of this! Especially the bit abt Luz, you are so right! I also like how they added some special editing effects but it was wasn’t too much or anything. You know how some AMVs are just all effects and no real thought? These effects were really well-placed and actually enhanced the video (bc effects work really well with AJR songs. 👌✨)

So basically a human Luz (the girl with round ears, short hair and the varsity’s jacket) finds a realm called the demon realm where she can learn how to be a witch (he dream is to be a witch) so she meets the Owl Lady (The lady with gray hair) and kind (the little bone demon) and Eda(The owl lady) starts trying to teach Luz how to use magic. Witch’s can only use magic because of a bikes sack on their heart, which Luz doesn’t have, but she learns how to cast spells with glyphs (symbols drawn on paper) and eventual goes to witch school called Hexide, where she meets Willow (green haired girl) who does plant magic, gus (the little boy in blue) and he does illusion magic, and amity (purple hair girl) who eventually dates Luz. Now that story Exposition is done I’ll explain what’s happening in the video. ⚠️SPOILERS WATCH THE SHOW BEFORE READING THIS NEXT PART IF YOU WANT⚠️ So Luz went into a time pool where she accidentally helped Belos (The villain of the show an the goop guy/ other human) meet The Collector who helps Belos cast The Draining Spell, which almost kills everyone in the Demon Realm. Because of this, Luz believes that it’s her fault that the Draining Spell happen and that it almost killed everyone and almost killed her friend's family’s. This video is basically her guilt talking.
It’s a show of this human named Luz who makes it to the demon realm on the boiling isles! And she goes through many different things but it’s not only Luz who changes during the show it’s a whole group of characters! I suggest watching the show although you might find the beginning episodes of the owl house a bit annoying or something but trust me it gets better!
