      @@alishanmao they are, as far as I know the TDS has never done 300kph but very close. The TDR2 has done it on 16s but this one has the power to go even faster.

      ​​@@westhobbiesrc8051Most people use a 10s setup for TDS, fastest 10s speed I know of was Holger at 29X kph avg. So far TDR2 has been faster on 10s, too. Always referring to competition results using a camera system.

      @@andrewmagee1666 Last video I made was so long ago that I had a sony ccd camera on a linkage tripod on the tail boom connected to a 900mhz transmitter and on the ground I had a MyFlyDream antenna tracker with a patch antenna connected to a Hauppauge PVR and then to a LCD screen (computer monitor). There was so much snow in the image I thank the almighty I still have the bird.

      @@TL_RC so the head has a centrifugal cone and above 1600 RPM the cones spin out and “lock” the head solid. Under 1600 RPM it “unlocks” and allows the head to float. Makes it so there is no vibrations or resident vibrations at lower head speed for spooling up and down with a solid head.

      Thanks for that description, sadly I don’t enough about helicopters to know the difference.
      I only know of flybar and fixed.
      Is this similar to a Robinson without flybar but with rotordisk able to tilt?
      Ps, I have a variable pitch quad (using tail rotors) and have put them into ducts while testing before holding a large scale x22 vtol.
      Getting direct drive multi blade large heli rotors is proving difficult. (700-900 size)

      ​@westhobbiesrc8051 Hmm, that's weird, your description has two statements. Physical Operation, and Reason. But they are opposite statements.
      I am not saying the function does not do what it is supposed too, but that sounds strange.
      Maybe it's would be useful of you only wish to alter rotor speed at a specific pitch. That could potentially work well for high speed.
      I have never heard of that terminology or that type of mechanism in model helis, however, Hanselit are very fast!

    I could see this copter being used in close combat warfare. Slap an fpv camera and a latch to hold grenades. An experienced pilot could have a hay day.

      @@dreams2reality410 this would be a extremely expensive combat drone. This heli cost more than most people’s car. Regular drones are better because they are cheap and easy to get. This a rare heli with only 65 ever made.

    The local flying clubs here are starting to separate helis and fixed wing. Helis are just too loud, dangerous, they regularly crash, batteries ripped open from crashes, blades flying at high speed goodness knows where after crashes, etc etc etc. Each to her/his own so I suppose. I tried to explain to this crowd and just received a rather cool reaction. They are allowed so they get to play and the others basically have to leave.

      @@Zoey_the_Rat it is! This setup will do 200mph no problem! I was only running low head speed and 4-5 degrees of pitch.

    I strongly feel that the US Military should employ an entire fleet of heli-pilots, if not simply for surveillance purposes. You'd hear this thing come in and 100 guys would be spraying the sky with lead and they'd have almost zero chance of making a lock on it.

      I know we have drones(quads/fixed wing, etc), but are they specifically using RC Helicopters for anything? It would be pretty funny to watch the response to one of these in the field.

      @ it’s 16s total, around 20k watts on full power. This flight was only 6k watts!

      Having a goosky s2 and seeing the power that helicopter can put out with a little 7.5mah 3s battery, 16s just sounds crazy to me! Can't wait to see what it will actually do!😮

      Thank you! So went 16s for a few reasons, one of course is powerrrr! 20k watts (if the gears hold it) two is amp draw, higher voltage is less amps and more power. Three is because I’ve never seen a TDS on 16s! lol

      It’s a beautiful Heli! I can’t wait to see what it will do. It did 161mph on 10s at 7,000 watts. We have 20k watts now.

    what does the air speed sensor do on RC heli? you said "head is unlock" in video, so I assume there is auto pilot that read data from air sensor.

      @@JeromeDemers there is no auto pilot, all manual control. Head is a locking head by centrifugal cones that spin out over 1600 RPM. Air speed sensor measures air speed. How fast it’s going.

      @ ah thanks! So no GPS for speed! I guest this is much more accurate then other people using GPS on drones and RC cars.

      @ GPS is great for speed but unfortunately these helis are full carbon and the GPS will not pass through the carbon gap it would have to go on the out side but that disrupts airflow and risk of it coming off. Pitot tube is true airspeed and not ground speed, just anther way to do it.

      It really is! Wish they still made them. It’s the canopy flapping at the bottom. I normally tape it and I forgot my tape.

    How does that work if you for some reason you need to do auto-rotation without the tail rotor being driven. (Near end of video w/ spool down)

      @@daviddillon6794 you don’t, in the case of a auto it’s a glided auto but no tail authority so you’re landing like an airplane.

      @@RobisonRacing68 so on this heli the head floats, there is a centrifugal cone inside the head block. Above 1600 RPM the cone slings out and “locks” the head solid. Under 1600 RPM the cone goes in and allows the head to float and no vibrations with a solid head at low RPM.
