As an immigrant who has immigrated from Afghanistan to Uk at the age of 7. Well my dad went through the hardship as an illegal immigrant and became citizens and brought me and siblings to uk legally through immigration visas. How the journey was portrayed in movies was very similar to real life however it was very even more harsher( my dad told us about the stories he had to go through). The reason am writing this is because the movie is fantastic. I couldn’t stop crying. The emotions shown something I could relate all lot. Just a beautiful story. Mind you I have been watching Bollywood from young age around 8 so much that I can even understand Hindi and speak little so it even more advantageous because words are very powerful. I was very excited because recently only action movies have been out but this movie didn’t disappoint. Love India 🇮🇳

Positive aspect of the film- It shed light on a topic (illegal immigration) which was till now almost unnoticed by majority of the people.The film also told the reality and negative side of life in abroad for Indians and their struggles.
Negative - Not much but the jokes were a little bit outdated (i am only talking about jokes from a writing perspective and not situational comedy scenes)
Overall it's a great movie.

POSITIVE : the social message was serious and gas portrayed good enough with good humour and light heartedness
NEGATIVE : Hyping movie as the best rajkumar hirani movie as it was not something you would remember after a year whereas the massy entry scenes of jawan and pathaan can be remembered a bit better
A good movie to watch with family or friends but don't go with expectations to be better than pk, 3 idiots or other hirani films

@@Jane24577 sanju is fine. Its good but is not dense. Lage raho munna bhai has many jokes that do not hold up in anyway. It drags alot. 3Idiots and PK are his best movies and dunki is a bit below 3idiots and PK

My favourite part of the film was definitely the grounded and realistic way of storytelling in a dark and serious topic with some sensible comedy but the movie did not accelerate in the second half which for me makes it a one time watch as well, overall it was really enjoyable it’s a 3.5/5
A Good thing about DUNKI is it's a family movie
And A Bad thing about DUNKI is "I missed SRK'S Charm" there was no SRK , it was just a common hero .

For me just the positive thing in movie was sukhi character and how Vicky kaushal potrayed it.. he nailed it and that scene of his death was so emotional..

Positive- The scene when Tapsee put off her shoes before walking on the land. And Sonu Nigam voice starts at the background Nile the Kabhi Ghar se" peak moment. The feeling of returning back to your home after all tge hardships is just magical.
Negative: Should have shown the dunki route more. I mean the dunki route mad tge experiences are shown very little. Could have been more.

I loved the movie ❤very bold and tough topic portrayed in hirani way ❤it's a complete family entertainer 🎉
Positive - I really liked how Rajkumar Hirani builds this world throughout the first half using such low and subtle ways but yet highly impactful, really setting a stage where you wait for their journey on the dunki route
Negative - It's actually regarding the storyline itself, I feel there was too much stuffed in the second half, and so many aspects (the dunki flight journey, the love arc, the problems faced in London) were merely touched and thus couldn't create that much of a connect, topping all of this was the story aspect of Hardy just leaving his friends after doing so much for them and his friends out of the bloom just remember him after 25 years filled with hope and excitement, that was where I really lost the connect.

As a Sikh I felt disgusted and angry with Bollywood. They do zero R&D on their movies. The way they butchered Punjabi language in the movie and all the creepy silly dialogues showing Sikhs and Punjabis as clowns. Fake Punjabi accent, perpetrating creepy stereotypes on Sikhs. The only reason I gave it 6/10 rating is because it displayed a genuine social problem of Punjab and Haryana
Main punjab district Hoshiarpur se hun. Or jo movie main dikhaya sab real hain, hamare punjab main itne college school nahi hain jitne IELTS speaking wale baithe hain, har chowk par 2 3 to mil hi jayenge. Pure punjab ko bas yehi dream hain ki bas kisi tarah abroad chale jaye, 40 50 lakh laga rag puchhtaini zameen bhech kar bas bahar jana chahte hain, hamare yaha punjab main isse bahar jana kehte hain. Mera cousin abhi Canada gya tha, ab usse koi job nahi mil Rahi kyoki study visa walo ko do din ka holiday milta hain. Or do din holiday walo ko koi kaam nahi deta, waha 5 days ka ka work milta hain. Isiliye wo ab sirf pehle two year study karega uske baad hi koi kaam kar sakta hain, jab Tak visa khatam ho jayega

Positive aspect : In my opinion , felt like a perfect proportionate combination of drama romance comedy while leaving a social message ( modern world veer Zaara if made by Rajkumar Hirani)
Negative aspect :In my opinion , many of the locations felt dummy , make up was not able to showcase what they tried to show .

The Raju Hirani Template, where you come out of the theatre in tears is pure magical and in this film too he didn't let that magic go away. This film is not bad at all, at least not as ordinary film as its trailer cut made it look like. (fire that guy please). of course the film challenges some logic and has a few avoidable scenes if you sharply judge this film some benchmark as a bot or compare it with his former films where the stories had different vision, objective, emotional depth and target audience, in this film the filmmaker first had to make us aware and establish the dunki concept and then make us feel happy and sad at times about the issue that was established a few minutes ago, within 3 hours, seems challanging already. this delicate topic got the entertaining yet sensible treatment. yes! Some logic is missing while convincing us and progressing the story but it can be compromised for the sake of entertainment and its effective outcome that gives you the joy of watching a film in a cinema hall with your entire family. Dunki is a family film that proudly talks about family, love and compassion you have for your country, your roots and loved ones.
Now pleaseeeeeee give me thoseeeeee beautifullll art piecesss, PLEAAASSSSEEEEE😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The good thing which I liked the most about the movie is that the movie has funny dialogue and heartwarming moments and it's socially relevant topics.

The bad thing about the movie is the character development and the screentime of the characters I think the characters should have been given more time to build itself.

Positive: R. HIRANI GAVE PEOPLE WHAT THEY NEEDED AFTER SUCH MASSY FILMS, I.E. ONE LIGHT HEART FAMILY ENTERTAINER. HIS DIRECTION WHICH MAKES US LAUGH EVEN IN AN EMOTIONAL SCENE.
Negative: P.K. and 3-Idiots were movies that could be related such easily but in dunki many people know what's happening but can't relate to that extent. Which ultimately lacks matching our expectations as it doesn't relate to us in that such level.
One positive thing of Dunki:
The film was made on a really fresh topic that attracts audience's attraction towards it and it was portrayed fantastically by RK Hirani, and that is what he is known for
One negative thing about Dunki:
The dialogues seemed a little bit outdated. If this movie was written few years back, it would have been really great but the taste of today's audience wants better humourous dialogues. But overall this is not a big drawback of the movie.

Dunki has its moments where it shines but the friendship between balli ,buggu and Hardy could have been explored to root for them
Positive: Screenplay is great. Specially the shooting scene under water and the 'Omar no Hamar' Scene.
Negative: Vickey Kaushal had a great impact in the film but i believe his death was too quick. His character could have been more developed so that audience could have connected more with Sukhi and his situation.

What if this movie was not directed by RKH and srk was not casted? The movie is great it’s just people went to theatre with bag of expectations, everyone enjoyed the movie, the topic which no one would dare to touch in India has been touched, and if such movie is not appreciated then in future no one would dare to do so, in a country like India films are the backbone of how the society is shaping and looking at todays scenario seems like people are more interested in negativity they are more attracted to watch movies like animal or Pathan or salaar which I think is not good.
The positive part is emotional drama with patriotic touch and the negative part is that the dunki flight was not broadly shown
Best point in cinematic aspect was its humour and weakness was its story telling.
Positive: Dunki brings a refreshing perspective to problem-solving, often thinking outside the box and offering innovative solutions that others might not consider.
Negative: Dunki's unconventional approach can sometimes lead to resistance or misunderstanding from traditionalists or those who prefer more conventional methods, causing friction or challenges in collaboration.
Best was first half of the film where the struggle was shown to get the visa.
And the worst part is that after 25 years how were ta parents alive in the movie when they came back and how abruptly the love story ended.
This is called an explanation. 99% youtubers must learn the art of observation first from this guys perspective.
I finally got to watch Dunki, and here is one positive and negative point about the movie as you had asked for.
Positive:
The film picks up an important topic, and shows a serious subject in a light hearted way and pretty much succeeds at that. It is entertaining in parts, and makes you smile, laugh and cry in various situations.
Negative:
It's hard to pick one, so I'll have to write a few.
There's lack of freshness in the story telling format. It very closely follows the tropes of 3 Idiots. The beginning (Madhavan escaping the plane, Tapsee escaping the hospital), the ending (friends reunion), and everything in between (Aamir helping his friend achieve their goals, Shahrukh doing a similar thing). Unfortunately, the other characters apart from Shahrukh aren't as strong as Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in 3 Idiots whom we remember even today.
The film defies logic at many places. I'm looking at this point only because it's a Rajkumar Hirani film as I loved how he has justified things in his previous movies - Munnabhai seeing Gandhiji, I was convinced. Unfortunately, not in Dunki. Take this situation for example, it's like Shahrukh's character almost forces the decision to take the Dunki on others after Vicky's death, it just feels rushed as there's no proper justification to that decision. One more example, it's hard to believe that someone is living in your village for 25 years and you don't know anything about it while you are in contact supporting the family financially. There may be many other such things but I believe some of these were major loopholes.
Week point- Student visa is not easy, there should be shown more struggle to get student visa of Balli.
Strong point- Story concept because most of the people try to go abroad once in his or her lifetime.
+ve : it is RH film and great acting by srk and Vicky kaushal
-ve : sometimes you didn't connect with film
According to me, great choice of story, well acted by all specially the character "shukhi". Tapsi ka acting was ok ok...
But actual Dunki journey was more difficult . Then detailing was missing, it will be blockbuster if the story released in OTT as webseries with detailing...
Strong point - showing reality of dunkey route which is right and I have heard of that route in which one of our neighbours have used the same.

Positive: Dunki swings for the cinematic fences with Shah Rukh Khan at the bat, hitting an emotional home run that's as uplifting as a Bollywood dance number.
Negative: Dunki's plot zigzags more than a tuk-tuk in Mumbai traffic, leaving viewers in a delightful yet dizzying whirl of 'What just happened?'

Glad to have a light and emotional movie after the mass action successful year
The good thing was, how the movie was still able to carry the RKH comedic tone within the first half very effectively and really good cinematic shots in the second half. The bad thing was the movie failed to mesmerize us with its character development( overhaul of srk acting approach) , like other RKH movies did in the past. The flaw of writing was, when social Messageing compromises with authentic storytelling, dialogues and expressions could've been more subtle.
Positive- Whatever you said is correct but there is more point Set Design & VFX! In my opinion Just look at the very carefully get you all the every positive detail.
Negative- more dark in this movie for the connection from side character

Songs in the film are very situational.. Light hearted moments are actually good..

Srk shown as ex army person
So how army person can justifying illegal immigration in courtroom scene
The concept is not universal so not everyone can connect with the subject..
Your weak points
1 Missing chemistry- Are bhaii love story nahi h vo jo unki chemistry pr focus kare unki love story pr zyada focus karte to film subject se bhatak jati.
2. Weird motivation- Bhai ye film h 2 :50 hr ki koi web series nahi h jo ek ek characters ki story bataye detail m infact vo agar btate bhi to film lambi or boring ho jati.
Totally disappointing review tha aapka 1.5/5 rating for you.
The strongest part of the movie is actually the climax because it closes the movie with such poetic tone that you can only melt and then Hirani always lights up the mood with humour after every emotional scenes and made it fun to watch
And although the song O Maahi is brillant and beautiful the way they present Tapsee and SRK bonding is not organic at all but thanks to the music the flaws are pretty much covered
but overall it was a very very good ride though
It can be compared with true emotion of many famil....And many young people who think their life will be changed by going abroad
I think the story was pretty good but the story was predictable at some crucial points which could have helped the movie. For example taapsee pannu's character's death scene

I watched Dunki yesterday.. It was a great movie where we can see friendship love emotions dark incidents in other hand we can see somec cliche moments also.
Bt if I want to say the best part is SRK has shown a true patriotism over friendship and love. He was fighting for his love and not to kiss anybody but in the very next scene he didn't think twice to leave his love of life
But the worst part is the death of Mannu character. That's so cliche. It was more like eating a yummy biriyani and in the end suddenly find a cockroach in that which will spoil the enjoyment of the meal. it's not so necessary to show a death part like this . Overall a good movie but after reaching England those parts are not really engaging.
Dunki is a feel good wholesome movie which I enjoy 😊..
