Cool simple project to get rid of the mess wet stones tend to produce. I'd probably add some handles to the water box to make insertion and removal easier. And with my wet stones I'd soak them in the water box before using. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed it. Weekend Stuff
It depends on the type of stone you are using. Not all water stones need a soaking. Sometimes it is even bad for the stone because they become too soft and greasy
Great job as always. Do you think you can create something like the Tormek sharpener? Speed reduction, positioning rods, water canister... using some motor and sharpening disc. I think it would be a good project.
My favorite manufacturer is a saw made by Toritama Sangyo. amzn.to/3A9LUDo Ali Express has a fake Japanese saw. Please use genuine Japanese manufacturer's products.
Ok, I like this project. But what was this „saw machine“ all about that he has built in the former videos? I thought he‘d use it in his projects but no: he is using a regular Japanese saw for all of his cuts. That machine was such a waste of time… 😟😔 So much effort for just standing around in some corner…
Check out wood by wright’s vid on the joint maker pro for the thing jsk built before. This sharpening station, or a similar thing, is one of important things you should consider building when you like to use chisels and planes in your woodworking. It makes sharpening those blades much easier, making woodworking more fun cause you’re not frustrated with blunt blades.
@@weekendstuff yes, that was what i was thinking. keep the knobs below would work. with some inconveniences of having to flip it over to tighten or loosen them.
good job but, i am not a fan of the height of your stone...i prefer my sharpening stone more elevated, so my knuckles don't catch anywhere...you did not need to use 7 pieces of wood, 3 in the centre would have been OK..
My dude, turn the box 180° around and they magically are no longer in the way xD. Though in the rare case you want to sharpen something way longer than the stone, they do. Simple fix would be to get knobs that end up flush with the stone height I guess ?

@@wolframherzog636 TBF I was commenting on the handle bit for the water box not the soaking of the stones, my bad.
Great idea my friend!!!
Really fantastic
I'm going to make one like this brilliant idea you have good man very great work
Can you one day show me an organizer stand for drill bits?
Great job!! Very nice!! ❤❤
Amazing work, man! Nicely done! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Looks great I need one like that thank you

Excelente trabajo 👌👌👌...🇲🇽🇲🇽...
I am so making one of these!
I am happy to be of help to you.

ruclips.net/video/nXpDwh37QHo/видео.html
Great idea going to make one 👍
I hope you will share my videos with your friends!
Simple et efficace 👍👏😁
Buena idea como siempre
I have never seen this man make a mistake. I have been saving up big jugs of water for him to turn into wine.

Excelente 👏🤌👍
Super 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Would have thought you would have used your new fancy unpowered table saw to cut the wood at the start of the project rather than using a hand saw 🙂
Ikr 😞 … 😝
I immediately thought the same thing; especially since the cuts he highlighted in that video mirrored what he did here.
Good ii boss 👍👍😊😊😍
Cool project! What is the last item that goes into the box at the end?
water spray bottle

This is the first tool you should make in your woodwork.
It doesn't make sense unless you make it with the smallest tools.

i think everything is perfect until the 2 knobs.
they would've blocked the hands and hindered the sharpening,
when trying to push the blade forward.
Turning the setup 180 deg solves this issue if it is one.

Anyone know of a similar plastic container box available in USA? The one in description is unavailable for me. Thanks!
In principle you can make watertight boxes from wood too.
They sell it on Amazon for $40 with free shipping.
