Thanks for following along with the project as always. Yes, they are very nice-looking rocks. Some even have fossils in them. I will use every one of them somewhere at the ranch.
Good morning.. I'm wondering if you have ever dug up anything. Like artifacts or Do you know any history about that area? I suppose I could look it up on Google. That's a nice add on tool to your tractor To get the job done.... Love the cactus garden ideal.🌵🌵.... Have a great week.
Thanks for watching the progress. I have not found any Native American artifacts, but I do find a bunch of fossils. The frost ripper works very well on all the layers of rock in the pond worth every penny. Hope your day turns out to be a nice one, too.
Yay!! You made it to the top Simon!! 💪Me and my 3 brothers loved playing "king of the mountain" as kids. You won! 😬👍Your progress is coming along quite nicely! 😊👌
Thanks for watching and the compliment. This ranch build would not be possible without this little machine. It took many years of working on the old construction site to get the skills I have now with the machine.
I'm glad to share the journey to build an oasis. I usually change the air filter every other trip to the ranch. Thanks for watching some of the older videos.
Thanks for following along with the project as always. I am definitely getting my money back out of the frost ripper. There are layers of clay between the rock layers, so I think everything should be good in that category.
Yes, it overfilled three times last monsoon season. I don't think I could dig a pond down in the valley big enough to catch all the water. That is why I plan on digging another one up top to help with the catchment. There is another large creek that I could reroute to feed this water catchment as well. I would be afraid to now without the other pond done, though. Thanks for following along with the ranch build as always.
When do expect it to next rain in your desert and will it fill the pond ? Any other water capturing plans higher up the hill and any thing to help with plant and vegation growth
Both are good questions, and thanks for watching the progress. As far as rain goes, the monsoon season is June 15th to September 30th, but you never know in the Chihuahuan desert it could rain before that as well. I will have a bunch of other water catchment at the ranch. The next big water catchment project will be the upper pond. Honestly, I will be building water catchment until I die at the ranch. I don't think you can have enough in the desert.
fantastic work,cant wait for rain❤
Thanks for watching the progress as always. It's going to be a beautiful sight when the pond is full again, that's for sure.

I love rocks, those big rocks are awesome. Very useful for many things. And they look nice as they are. Good dig and haul again. 👍

Amazing the work that can get done with heavy equipment. Great progress each day.
The little Kubota makes all the difference in progress, that's for sure. Thanks for following along with the ranch build as always.

It's been a long, bumpy road to the top pun intended. Thanks for following along with the project as always.
Wishing you many smooth turns.
Thanks for watching as always. The road has come a long way over the years.
So satisfying seeing the ripper wink that rock. Thanks again.
No problem, thanks for watching as always. The ripper is definitely helpful at the ranch.
HOPE ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE, LOVE YOUR PLACE
Thanks for watching and the nice wishes. A little at a time, it will come together.
Impressive work as always. You really know your way w the backhoe.

The frost ripper is a game changer. Great progress 🤝🏻
It's definitely worth the $900 I paid for it. Thanks for following along with the build as always.
Another day of awesome progress! Beautiful weather out there now!👍👍
Thanks for watching as always. You know, for every bad day of weather out west, there are five nice ones.
That was a huge rock. How much weight can that machine lift?
Thanks for watching the progress as always. The Kubota can lift about 4,100 pounds up close to the machine.
Thanks for bringing us along your journey. I wonder how often you have to change the air filter in your truck.
I'm glad to share the journey to build an oasis. I usually change the air filter every other trip to the ranch. Thanks for watching some of the older videos.
That ripper works really well. Hope you don't open a drainage path for your water.

The monsoon season is June 15th to September 30th. But you never know it could rain anytime. Thanks for following along with the project.
I thought it was summer. You are close to having water in there year around.
@@heronthere I think to be on the safe side digging the pond down to 25' would be ideal.
